most military families are too busy volunteering, helping their neighbors and supporting iraqi families to be bothered with a site like this, but i'm sure they'd be shocked at the level of ignorance about what a soldier is.

EMMA: i'm pretty sure that unlike most military families and soldiers YOU have NOT done ANYTHING for our wounded soldiers or veterans. so i find it offensive you would tell someone who served- UNLIKE YOU- to volunteer more! i know for a fact because i volunteer and donate to MANY organizations that help our soldiers, their families and the people of iraq and i have NEVER encountered someone who feels that way about our soldiers that has done any GOOD for these organization. in fact, i don't know anyone who has protested the war that has made any donations to several of the organizations i have worked with, so get off your high horse and take your own advice.
we all know that despite your cries that 'war is bad' it's the soldiers and their families feeding and clothing and helping the iraqi victims of war with their own charity organizations despite how little money they make. they wish every day for those selfish protesters to get out of their expensive SUVs and donate some of the money to their charities that benefit iraqis and kurds and afghanis instead of to their precious politcial organizations like moveon.org or even give what they spent on posters and tickets to farenheit911 to the soldiers. let's be honest. most people who pontificate on the horrors of war don't do anything except that. whereas the service people who are sent into this battle and suffer the consequences of our policies the most are the most helpful to the victims of war.

I don't feel sorry for the family. The family is only mad because they didn't get a cut from the publicity Dr. Phil recieved as a result of his "visit." I mean - they sold the story of Jamie L's pregnancy to a tabloid! Don't tell me the family is ethically moral and want privacy - they just want a fast buck.

if you oppose a foreign or defense policy, beating up soldiers who serve our country or sitting around pontificating to people really does not put you in a position to judge others. if you want to contribute peace and love, go to your local Fisher House and help a family who has a wounded soldier, or give housing to one of the homeless people in this country (25% of them are veterans) or join military families in their many efforts to donate clothes, books, food and medical supplies to iraqis. don't sit around and spout your propaganda…

The spokeswoman answered everything politically correct. What I do not see is what did Dr. Phil say that everyone in the world doesn't know and the "reason" she was admitted in the first place?! This girl needs help and someone needs to make sure she gets it. That is what he stated-no personal conversation between himself and Britney WAS discussed-he violated nothing. He is not her doctor and the family called upon him to help and evaluate. There were plenty of MD's in that hospital who could have help and I am sure-tried to help. I think it is WRONG of the family to back pedal and be mad at Dr Phil when they requested and escorted him up-AND he did nothing wrong. The Spears are just once again, looking for an escape goat when they should be looking introspectively! If they all would focus their energy on their two children maybe they could actually help in their treatments!

While I wholeheartedly agree that it was completely inappropriate for Dr. Phil to issue his press release and discuss handling Britney's situation on his program, I think it's really "rich" of Lynn Spears to claim the "high road" when she comments directly to OK! Magazine in a cover article revealing that Jamie Lynn is pregnant at 16. And her own book about being a mother to celebrity daughters during the same year that Britney has been such a mess speaks loudly about exploiting them for the almighty buck. Say what you want about Dr. Phil, but at least he has some education.

I'm taking the risk of sounding like Chris Crocker, but whatever…here goes - In the interview, she also points out how disgusting it is that as a society we have been watching - as if cheering- for the end [of Britney]. Obviously, what is happening with Britney is going to draw enormous media interest, but the websites asking people to predict Britney's death and "win an Xbox" along with the tone of the gossip bloggers (sorry Perez) is unbelievable. What is wrong with everyone??? She's a human being. We all fuck up, and if I had to deal with fame, I'm not so sure that at some point I wouldn't lose it in pretty much the same way she has.
