Not that I want Hillary in there either but I'd take Barack over a Republican any day. Sadly, I think the Republicans are hoping for Hillary and Barack to be the candidates to beat because they know that they can. And I'm worried that Barack really is a lot of style over substance and that Hillary is just more of the same corruption. And who wants 4-8 years of a Clinton White House? Been there, done that. Roseanne needs to do her research before she starts attacking presidential candidates. She can vote for whomever she likes, however, she is incorrect on almost all of the views she claims Obama holds. Obama did vote to fund the war until 2006 in order for a staged pull out, but let us not forget that HIlary voted for the war at the very beginning. Obama is also pro-union, however not as familiar with the union as Edwards or Clinton. Obama is also FOR reproductive rights for women.

Obama was not a Senator when the Iraq war bill came up, which said we would invade only if they didn't cooperate with the UN. In fact, in his highly praised speech on religion and politics, Obama stated that he is morally opposed to abortion because he is religious, but COMPLETELY supports its legality because he is opposed to enforcing his own religious views on THE WIDER COMMUNITY. this makes him the OPPOSITE of right wing candidates who play the religious card to score votes with evangelical Americans, and it makes him a good candidate because it shows he is tolerant and perceptive of the community's needs. Obama has also been vocally anti-war, with a NEGATIVE voting record while in the US Senate. Hillary Clinton has only recently adopted an anti-war stance. And even though I would never vote Republican, McCain is a fricking WAR HERO. No wonder he supported the troop surge (which has actually shown positive results), which he also voted for based on the expert testimony of Petraeus, not blind loyalty to the incumbent President.

Roseanne is one of those people who can be dangerous with a little bit of information but not enough facts. For example, if one looked at George W.’s record and saw that he went to Yale, one would think that he was smart! It is true that Obama was against the war and then voted to keep up the funding for it. I was against the war and do not have a problem with this. As our troops were already there, do you think it is a safe thing to pull the funding out from under them and risk their lives any further? As we had already destroyed Iraq, don’t you think we have a responsibility to rebuild it? Also for the record, Obama has always been a pro-choice and pro-women candidate. If you look at Obama’s website, you’ll see it’s quite comprehensive and you can find out where he stands on the issues. As far as celebrity endorsements go, I could give a rat’s ass who Roseanne or Oprah is endorsing but I do think that Roseanne should take a little time to delve deeper into the facts before spouting-off nonsense and distorting the facts. She must have learned something from the Clinton’s playbook.
