Nicole Richie and Joel Madden welcomed a little girl on Friday. Perfect for Nicole. She can spoil her little princess!
The new arrival's name is Harlow Winter Kate Madden
"The beautiful healthy baby girl left the hospital with her ecstatic parents," Nicole's publicist says.

OMG!!!! Why do you people care so much about what her race is. I am White, Black, and 1/2 chinese. Stupid people are always asking me, 'What are you? What country are you from?" Even though my great-great grandparents came here from China in the early nineteenth century. Nicole is a beautiful woman and a mixture of many different things and if you want to know what that mixture is so badly, just go up to her and ask. Yey! That is wonderful news! I have a baby girl myself, and she is the best thing that has ever happened to me. The first 2 months are hell though b/c of the sleep deprivation, but hang in there hunny! You're going to be soooo incredibly happy!

People can leave the hospital any time they want if it was a healthy birth and baby. I am sure there is a Nurse at home for her…so there isn't anything to do in the hospital after giving birth other than WAIT and sleep….they take the baby to the Nursery….so you can rest…well, she can do that at home.
Why don't you all start supporting her for making healthy decisions?

It is so refreshing how a baby can make her turn her life around, get to a healthy weight, stop drinking and partying, start a charity to help others less fortunate, clean up the potty mouth, etc. I hope she will continue to transform into an amazing mother, and I honestly think that this is going to help them both become better people overall. Re: Claire – I think the person was thinking of the French word "harlot" which is pronounced harlow. We say pronounce the T at the end of the word in the U.S., but the T in harlot is not pronounced in French. Hence, the harlow sound.
She must have been named for Jean Harlow. The harlow spelling is German with the ow ending.

This is nice news. I'm so happy to read about something positive after days'n'daze of Britney antics! I am really happy for Nicole and Joel. They seem to have settled down, have done some good stuff with their charitable foundation, and now with a daughter safely arrived, I'm wishing good things for all three of them.
