Johnny Depp has donated $2 million to the British hospital that treated his daughter when she was sick last year with kidney failure.
Last week, Depp invited doctors and nurses from the hospital to the London premiere of Sweeney Todd.
And, back in November, Johnny spent four hours at the hospital telling bedtime stories to patients dressed as Captain Jack Sparrow after having his Pirates Of The Caribbean costume flown over from Los Angeles.
Depp's daughter mysteriously got E.coli poisoning last year. She's doing well now.

This man just gets cooler and cooler, and I admire him more and more every day. He's a rare breed: a true talent who does what he does for the love of the game, not simply for the attention. That's why it doesn't surprise me to hear that he read to those kids in Jack Sparrow character. I get the sense that he'd be just as happy performing in a hospital as he would acting in a huge, award-winning Hollywood blockbuster. He's a true artist and free spirit - and apparently a really good guy at times — and that make him a huge inspiration to me. Not to mention a hot specimen of mankind. Go Johnny… and congrats on the Golden Globe. Sweeney Todd rocked!

Dennis Quaid is suing the drug maker, not the hospital. The drugs aren't labeled as well as they could be. He is trying to make the drug company change the labeling, so it will be tougher for the RNs to make human errors. Do your research!

E. Coli is not mysterious!! You can get it from eating comtaminated food or touching something dirty and then touching your mouth, like many children and adults often do. Its not shocking, lots of kids and adults get it. We just know about her because her parents are famous!! Anyway Johnny is a great guy, keep up supporting your nurses and docs!!!

He is someone who has absolutely grown from being a teen idolesque toy to an incredibly gifted actor and clearly stand-up guy. What a wonderful gift to give to those children and that hospital. And, don't you have the sneaking suspicion, that he doesn't feel he can ever do enough to thank them?

this charity realize each year the dreams of thousands of ill childrens and she is very discreet about that, no photos no bragging about it , so maybe she was the one that gave this generous inspiration to JD…. wonder why he loves her so much and call her his angel……

if she had kidney failure, she probably got the e.coli poisoning from eating undercooked meat (ground beef) with the bacteria on it. This is common in children and can lead to hemolytic uremic syndrome which is a serious condition of kidneys. so remember to cook your hamburgers completely for children.
