The body of actor Brad Renfro was found dead at his home in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
The immediate cause of death is not known.
Renfro has had a history of severe drug abuse and repeated legal issues.
He was just 25.

Ok, for you idiots that don't know, Brad Renfro, is a fantastic actor, most notably known for playing the older child in The Client opposite Susan Sarandon. He was a great actor, but the drugs got him. It's a shame. Not as famous as River Phoenix, but went down the same path. I still thought he was hot in his "older" years.

I know people who were friends with him. 1 girl in particular. She's probably freakin' out. I remember her telling me about how she and her family were trying to help him out a lot. I saw pictures of him over at their house, just chillin' with her on her sofa. WOW. This is so sad. I thought he was doing better. I'm gonna say a prayer for him and his family. Rest in piece Brad.

People are dying constantly right in our neighbourhoods but this death is extra sad because he was an actor so we must give it more attention.
There is so many people that turn to drugs to escape this world, this is so sad!

Wow. I remember when he first burst onto the scene in the movie, The Client, as a young boy. What a cute kid he was. Too bad he died at such a young age. Live life to the fullest people. Seize the day; gather ye rosebuds while ye may.
My brother hung out with him for a few days at a screenwriting/film festival in Austin, Texas. My other brother is an addictions counselor in L.A. and my brother in Austin was trying to talk to Brad about drug addiction because — though Brad had been clean for a few months — he was clearly struggling. He talked about wanting to get high a lot during the time they were hanging out and my brother just tried to talk him out of it. We were both worried this would happen because it was clear he wasn't through with drugs. This is very sad because it could've been prevented if he had gotten more help. That is, if this was an overdose. I can't imagine it being anything else. He had such a promising career before he got into drugs. It's sad he never got away from them to shine again.
