Republican presidential hopeful Mike Huckabee wants to change the constitution.
Why?
Because "God" is not happy with it.

"I have opponents in this race who do not want to change the Constitution," Huckabee told a Michigan audience on Monday. "But I believe it's a lot easier to change the Constitution than it would be to change the word of the living god. And that's what we need to do — to amend the Constitution so it's in God's standards rather than try to change God's standards so it lines up with some contemporary view."
Huckabee also wants to amend the Constitution to prevent children born in the U.S. to illegal aliens from automatically becoming American citizens - a radical step no other major presidential candidate has embraced.

The Constitution does NOT say that the US is or should be Godless. It simply states that government cannot interfere with freedom of religion. In fact, it is widely known that the framers of the Constitution were all Christians. During the time period that the the Constitution was written, it was generally a given that people believed in God. Evolution was not an option. Creationism was the only explanation, therefore they saw no need to specifically put God throughout the Constitution. If only they had known that the ACLU would rear it's ugly head.
Whatever happened to the separation of church and state? Why impose his beliefs on us all? The original writers agonized to make the constitution right. The few updates (ban slavery, womens rights, etc) have been warranted by the changing times. I agree about the free ride for alien babies though.
