"Idol Sucks!"

We love Chris Daughry. He tells it like it is!
One of the most successful American Idol alums in years, the rocker is now trashing the show which made him famous, but premiered Tuesday night to disappointing numbers.
"I feel like [American Idol] it’s definitely lacking some credibility at this point,” Daughtry tells Rolling Stone. “It’s in a state of decline and if they don’t do something about it, it’s probably not gonna last too much longer. I’m sure that’ll be used against me, but that’s the truth, you know? People get tired of seeing people that suck,” he says. “It’s funny at first, but come on. They spend three weeks on people that can’t sing, and that’s what they’re banking it on. [They should] find some people that you can really invest in.”

While I do find the auditions funny, I feel guilty for laughing at the mentally ill. Most of the awful singers they show are clearly unstable, crazy people. Idol should stop capitalizing off these sick people and start making the show about talent again.
I'm pretty sure he didn't say Idol sucks. American Idol does completely lack credibility. In seven seasons only 2 winners have had good careers. Other Idols have had careers - Daughtry, Jennifer Hudson. But come on, they got written off. Simon Cowell is about the only judge with any musical sense. Paula and Randy choose people because they LIKE them. And allowing America to vote is the downfall. I think they need to revamp the platform and try to come back with a different more serious Idol.

Very arrogant comment!!! Without Idol where would he be and exactly who does he think he is. "What goes around, comes around" and will he be as arrogant when his next CD flops as has happened to many of them. Most of them turn on idol as a little fame seems to go straight to their heads.

It's just a show for entertainment, and it's funny sometimes. It gets better as the season progresses and the more talented people are on more frequently. As far as investing our time in it, if you don't like it, you don't have to watch it. Not even the traditional recording industry worked perfectly, so… Don't expect so much and you won't be disappointed.
Dough-tree sucks! What a hypocrite. If it wans't for AI he's still be a nobody. He still IS a nobody, actually. Who listens to that crap?

like everyone i know only watches the loser auditions
and then when it's down to the good people like no one watches
except maybe the finale
but yeah the auditions this season so far have been pretty jokes
like the guy who was talking about simon like a god
and his brother song, hahaha
