Degrassi: The Next Generation star Adamo Ruggiero has come out of the closet!
In an exclusive interview with eTalk, the Canadian actor reveals that he is gay, just like his character - Marco - on the hit teen show.
"I didn’t plan it that way… maybe it’s life imitating art, Ruggiero tells eTalk. "Degrassi let me do something real and I kindof feel like I’m living proof of what the show was working to accomplish."

Degrassi has always been one of the best shows on TV for kids to watch. True of Degrassi One (my generation) and still true of Degrassi (two). I'm very proud of this masterful piece of TV comes out of my Toronto.
