I DID IT ALL FOR 15 YEARS. I finally "sorted myself out" in the year 2000. I didn't do it by going to rehab or any "anonymous" meetings. On the contrary, I wanted to show all those narrow-minded people one did not have to suffer thru those boring meetings in order to get off drugs. I did however, have the motivation to stop using because I didn't want to lose the man I loved, and am now married happily to. I also went to my doctor and was prescribed an antidepressant and medication for attention deficit disorder, which, not so coincidentally, is also a stimulant. I also prayed alot. It wasn't fun or easy, and for the first 6 months I did not have the capacity to enjoy anything in life because my brain was so depleted of dopamine. But eventually it heals.
