'80s sitcom star Roseanne has posted another shortsighted tirade on her blog.
This time, she says:
"oprah winfrey
has refused to do a show with the FIRST WOMAN candidate for President who has EVER won a primary election, in the history of the United States of America. I saw Hilary on the ridiculous tyra banks' show, and fumed. Hilary deserves to have been able to address the huge female demographic that Oprah's billions came from. How very disgusting, and how very very telling!! Maybe if Hilary was discussing her fat thighs Oprah would have had her on. Oprah doesn't really seem to respect the intelligence of her audience at all. Obama slaps the faces of his supporters with his traitorous praise of ronald reagan, the man who singlehandedly destroyed the working people, the economy, and the mental health safety net in this country, and told inner city kids that ketchup was a vegetable. I pray for the speedy failure of his divisive anti-feminist campaign. Oprah COULD HAVE delivered her viewers an audience with the most powerful and successful woman in American politics since Eleanor Roosevelt, and the only democratic candidate who has a prayer of winning this election at the most crucial time there has ever been in this country. I believe its she and David Geffen's plan to elect fellow billionaire Romney. This country's not going to elect a democrat who speaks well of republicans and reagan, like Barack Hussein Obama does. Wake Up! Diss-ing women's century-old fight for political representation of their voice makes me SICK!!! "
Oprah has nothing to do with the fact that Hillary blindly stands by her husband, who faced impeachment during his presidential reign. Also, hasn't Hillary already served as President - when Bill was in the house?

Although I am no fan of Rosanne's and I don't agree with the way she speaks, I think she has a valid point. I think Oprah should give Hilary some air time. It doesn't mean she's supporting Hilary but it would be fair and yes, the fact that Hilary is the first woman to successfully run for president is a very valid reason for Oprah to have her on her show. I dislike greatly that it seems to me that Oprah is saying to her mostly female audiance that they should follow her lead and vote Obama. I am leaning more toward Hilary and I am getting real tired of the celebrity "Obama Bandwagon". It doesn't seem genuine to me. Just my opinion.

I would like to point out as a journalism major that Oprah legally cannot deny a canidate air time —- if you have one canidate on you are required by the law to have the others on so roseanne is being uneducated.

Barack get's a pass because he's black and inspirational (say what you want, but white guilt is at play here). If they were both interviewing for the same job, like most Americans, Hilary's resume and experience would definitely get her the job in a manager's role. Barack would end up in the management training program instead. Wake up people - he wins and it's Jimmy Carter round 2. It's not his time yet - he needs more experience.

I have been getting alot of email's from my friends regarding Barack and have found out a fews things about his back ground that I find unsettleing. Please go to snopes.com and look up what they say about Barack and then go to his church's website www.tucc.org/about.htm. There are too many things in this man's back ground that just don't add up. At one time I would have voted for him but not after all the emails I've been receiving about him…

Oprah does not have to create a platform for every public figure to speak. People often criticize Oprah for not having the chance to speak on her show like it's some sort of constitutional right.
In addition, it is unknown to any of us whether Hillary will appear on the Oprah show in the future, or whether she had been invited to the show in the past, but declined. Stop jumping to so many conclusions. It's trite to go on a tirade about Oprah's motivations.
