His body was found at an apartment on Broome Street in manhattan.

this is a terrible loss to the entertainment business. he was one of my favorite actors. Its crazy how the greats die young , marylin monroe, james dean, and nw heath he will be missed dearly.

Heath Ledger proved he was the "real deal" In BBM. His memorable acting performance in that film can be equaled to the greatness of Marlon Brando or Sean Penn. In the past , after watching his past interviews on Oprah,etc… I could tell he was very troubled & extremely insecure. But I didn't expect it to lead to an early death. Heartbreaking! God Bless his daughter, his family & his friends.

This is so tragic…so unexpected…so wrong and unfair. I don't know what exactly happened…no one is sure yet whether or not he had a substance abuse problem, but it doesn't matter. To die at such a young age at such a great height in your career is terrible, and my heart goes out to his loved ones. I always respected Heath for his brave, unconventional roles and this is just a great loss for the film-making industry. Something is not right…so many young people in the spotlight have been dying lately…why aren't authorities concerned about them? I understand that they're mature enough to deal with their problems themselves, but this Hollywood trend of getting involved with drugs and alcohol are becoming more and more common. We see Amy Winehouse smoking crack and nobody even dares to stop her. These people are addicted, they no longer think with their minds. Their addiction is much stronger than their conscience and it is up to our criminal justice system to protect them and make them stay away from such crap. Rest in peace, Heath. You will never be forgotten :*(

Its so sad, your whole website is sad. Tonight I came to look at it after a friend told me you will have up to date info about how Heath passed. Its no wonder these people are tormented, I would never want to be a celeb and honestly I dont think they do either. Most just want to express themselves and to do what they are good at. They don't want the fame. They live in such sheltered paranoid states. Heath obviously learned this, so did Brad Renfro and hundreds of others in the past. Its just sad, they just want to do what comes natural they don't realize they are selling themselves to satin until after the deal is sealed. They truly want an escape, they want anonymity and once its gone they search for it. I go to work everyday and am also a type of artist yet I am always able to remain anonymous. There aren't people standing outside my door. Its so so sad. So many of these brilliant artists just want to be an artist, they don't want to be in the limelight. Artists come in so many forms, yet a painter, a writer, and a sculptor can create their art and still remain out of the spotlight. So sad, so sad. You just want to help them get away from stalkers like you.
