New Details On Heath Ledger's Shocking Death!
Filed under: Heath LedgerAt 3:31 p.m., a masseuse arrived at Apartment 5A in the building for an appointment with Mr. Ledger, police said.
The masseuse was let in to the home by a housekeeper, who then knocked on the door of Mr. Ledger’s bedroom. When no one answered, the housekeeper and the masseuse opened the bedroom and found Mr. Ledger unconscious.
They shook him, but he did not respond. They immediately called the authorities. The police said they did not suspect foul play and said they found pills near the body.

If you people are really crying and devastated… you really need to get out more often. I mean, it's a sad situation.. anytime someone's life is cut that short.. deliberately or accidentally, it's a sad thing. BUT ONE DOES NOT CRY OVER ONE THEY DO NOT KNOW & JUST VIEW ON A SILVER SCREEN. That's called needing a hobby.

I think it's a sad day and I wonder how one's life could be so pained since he's got a DAUGHTER to give him hope… and I'm not even the slightest bit maternal.. but COME ON… any idiot knows that you live for your kids once you have them. I read Perez daily and for the first time I didn't believe something I was seeing on here and I quickly had to go to other sources. I guess I didn't want to believe it.
What a shocking waste of someone who had such unbelievable talent. When i think of him, i thought of someone who was a "real" actor. I was so looking forward to The Dark Knight… how sad. I don't understand how people continue to do drugs. So scary.

If anyone has seen the clip for the new Batman Movie i think it was quite clear that he HAD to be on something, i mean he looks fu@king scary and he was a great actor but not that great. I know it is ill to speak of the dead this way but i think it was quite clear that he was severely depressed and i dont think taking that role woudl have helped much!

What a sad death..but please don't rush to judgement.
All of his long international flights can EASILY cause other conditions..such as blood clots in the legs that release. Don't be so quick to believe suicide, I would like to give this wonderful actor and human the benefit of the doubt. Flying back in from an international flight, lack of activity and movement during the flight, straight to bed with an alledged over the counter sleeping aid doesn't rule out a health condition. I lost a young family member from a clot in her leg following a flight from Australia.
There is to much speculation at this point…Give the brilliant man and his family as much positive energy as you can.

it was an ACCIDENTAL overdose. Heath had back issues and tylenol pm was his friend for many years. he did NOT want to take prescription pain meds. he had a particulary sore night after a chiropractic appt last night. he had weekly standing massage appointments also ..this was ACCIDENTAL..he loves his daughter more than himself..Matilda has just suffered a great and irreplaceable loss….
My prayers are with his friends and family. It's so sad how affected people in the entertainment industry can get. I just hope this is a wake up call to the young celebs that need one. RIP!

Heath Ledger is an example of why we shouldn't view celebrities with problems as entertainment. While people like Perez ridicule them, and we read that for entertainment, there's a perverse enjoyment of watching them fuck themselves up, do ridiculous things, and nearly kill themselves - as long as they don't actually die.
And then something like this happens. Someone who no one would ever have suspected this could happen to has died, and it's no longer considered entertainment, but a tragedy?
We need to stop viewing this kind of stuff as entertainment and view it as a real problem. These people aren't there for our enjoyment, they have a disease. If Britney Spears died tomorrow, the media would wet themselves trying to get as close as possible, and we would all lap it up and consume as much information as we can. It's really sick, and it demonstrates a real lack of morality within popular culture as it reigns in our society.
I feel for Heath Ledger's family, and especially for his baby girl who is now going to grow up without a father.
Sadly, there will be a difference in how Heath Ledger's death is viewed in comparison to someone like Anna Nicole Smith. Because Heath Ledger's death came as a shock, the media will be respectful, while Anna Nicole's death was an excuse for a media circus, the final chapter in her downfall.

This is weird. There are similarities to Kurt. They were the same age, both at the height of their careers, and had daughters the same age. And it's looking like suicide for Ledger, too. It's hard to imagine what led him to this. I wonder how Owen Wilson feels right now - that was very nearly him. What kind of problems did he have other than mental illness? Does anyone know? I guess we'll find out more in the days ahead. RIP Ledger. I don't see how WB can release Dark Knight under these circumstances now, if Heath's Joker portrayal is as insane as they say.

1st - he is not a cowboy, not even in the movie. He was a rancher in the movie. Cowboys participate in rodeos and that is not something Heath's character did in the movie. Again, he was a rancher.
2nd - he is not gay and nor was his character in the movie Brokeback Mountain. Because, again, if you werent so ignorant you would recognize that Brokeback Mountain is a movie about LOVE. You can say he was bi-sexual but not gay.
