If Michael J Fox had done an interview without his medication prior to his announcement, you all would have insisted he was tweaking. There are things and challeneges that these people face on a personal level which they do not advertise or disclose…who are we to act as though we're experts on what is going on with them? There may be underlying conditions causing his ticks and his nervousness. So everyone just needs to shut up!

Herion makes you really itchy, as do most opiates like methadone and oxycontin.
And Meth makes you do these weird body movements, spasmodically without the person even realizing they are doing it.
If he was going through opiate withdrawls he could have been really uncomnfortable and needed to keep moving to not feel the pain.
But either way he may have just been bored fron doing the same interview over and over again.
Point is…you never know. And wont until they come back with a toxicology report.
Ya know theres a reason why some celebs do what they do but have any of you listened to what the reporters were talking about on Larry King tonight. he was stressed and not sleeping from a project he just completed. he couldnt sleep he mixed something over the counter with a prescription. It's called a tragic mistake it was not suicide it was not a cry for help. Heath was an intense actor he didnt want to be the celebrity but he gritted his teeth and did the parts of the job he didnt like interviews etc. I feel sad for his family and Michelle and Matilda no one needs to go through it. Websites such as yours should extremely take a look at how you judge what happened. SHOW RESPECT FOR THE Deceased. In an interview he had mentioned that the Joker role had taken alot out of him and that he was only sleeping 2 hours a night. He does not look like he is on drugs, he looks like he is fidgety from being overly tired and maybe even a little nervous.

What's obvious is that he is fidgety … which is clear in any one on one interview he has done …. this is not a sign of drug use, it is a sign of nervousness and anxiety and its quit possible he may suffer from panic attacks, fidgeting tends to help in this situation. What is obvious is that he does not feel comfortable being in the spotlight in a one on one interview. Posting a video and blatantly stating drug use is disgusting at this sad time.

Very, very unfair of you Perez to make that claim. He is coherent in this interview meaning he vocalized his thoughts clearly and if you know anything about Heath Ledger you would know that he HATED to give interviews, he simply hated to talk about himself, so it is not strange that he is visibly uncomfortable. Most interviews done with him show him visibly uncomfortable talking about himself. Stop writing thigs you dont know for sure, that's a great dis-service to this very talented actor…

I have known plenty painfully shy people in my life, my boyfriend being one of them. Even though he may well have hid a drug problem (I don't know how anyone copes "well" under celebrity-ship), I agree with some other people that this clip does not seem to prove one way of another that he was on drugs. If anything, his body language clearly indicates his introvert ways.

Em Perez, he was nervous..his arm movements show he was uncomfortable being interviewed. He loved acting but was not happy to be in the spotlight.

How is it obvious that he's on drugs? Yes, he's fidgety - maybe he was nervous. But, I see nothing in his eyes, which usually tell all, that says he's on drugs. I think the implications here are a huge insult to his character.

WTF??? This video does not show that he was on drugs. I had a meeting today where I acted ten times worse than that because I was overtired and stressed. The media makes me sick!!!! No wonder people in the spotlight resort to drugs when they're getting crap like this thrown at them everyday. Unfortunately it doesn't seem like they'll stop because they're too powerful but it really does sicken me. Heath was a wonderful actor and a sincere and down to earth guy. With such a sensitive topic, it would be nice to see a little restraint with regards to comments, as it would be a horrible thing to make false accusations in someone's death.

Looks more to me like he's simply bored in the interview. I've seen TONNES of other interviews of Heath Ledger and he generally doesn't interview well. Love him, but he doesn't interview well. He's like stroking the soft part of his upper arm!? If he was on drugs there'd be a little more scratch-action and his sentences certainly would not be so articulate. If you've ever seen his interviews from the past, he is always fidgety. I was watching Access Hollywood this past Thursday night and they showed him being interviewed when he was 19 years old, when "10 Things I Hate About You" came out, and he was nervous about being interviewed. Through my experiences in seeing my own family members under the influence my whole life, I can tell you Heath does not appear to be on drugs in this interview. Please, Perez, do not jump into conclusions if you've not experienced that.

People who take a lot of coke get nervous like that. they get depressed amongst other problems. If you start taking coke and you're not careful you can get addicted very fast. once you are addicted you take coke several times a week. 1 gramm a day is nothing special then. BUT when you go to bed after "the party" you will have problems to fall asleep. your body is probably super tired, but your brain is still on speed, your heart is racing. thats one of the reasons lot of people using coke need sleeping pills and valium stuff.
