Sleeping Pills Initially To Blame

An autopsy is scheduled in the tragic death of Heath Ledger for Wednesday, but it will be weeks at least before we have a conclusive answer as to his passing.
What is known now is that police are saying sleeping pills were found in the room where his body was discovered naked and dead on Tuesday.
Two bottles of sleeping aids were found, it's being reported, one prescription bottle and one over-the-counter, which would make an accidental overdose more likely. Experts say that it is harder to overdose on just prescription sleeping pills.
Our heart aches for Heath's little daughter, Matilda, aged 2.
So tragic.

most prescribed sleep-aids are sedative hypnotics, they're not even in the same class as diphenhydramine. You can't compare the two.
Often, prescription or scheduled status is arbitrary or political; drug status is very much influenced by politics, lobbying and perception and is not purely scientific.

Please don't rush to tarnish the reputation of a good father. He quite possibly did overdose on the combination of too many sleeping pills in an attempt to battle his insomnia. No doubt he was no angel, but that does not make him a junkie or someone battling drug dependency. I am very upset by all of this. Heath Ledger was a good actor, and I do not think that he was necessarily awful looking. Definitely one of my favorites. And I am so sad to think that at the age of 28, with a 2 year old daughter he is gone. His life has not even begun yet, and he has ceased walking the earth where he belongs.
His daughter and his family and friends are in my prayers.

My friends dad, captain plant works at a firehouse 2 blocks from Heaths home and two guys called in and said that had a person, who famous not
responding to CPR. They claimed that he only took the recomended dose and that his body just responded badly to the pills. Not sure if its true but two guys did called his firehouse and say that.
