Sleeping Pills Initially To Blame

An autopsy is scheduled in the tragic death of Heath Ledger for Wednesday, but it will be weeks at least before we have a conclusive answer as to his passing.
What is known now is that police are saying sleeping pills were found in the room where his body was discovered naked and dead on Tuesday.
Two bottles of sleeping aids were found, it's being reported, one prescription bottle and one over-the-counter, which would make an accidental overdose more likely. Experts say that it is harder to overdose on just prescription sleeping pills.
Our heart aches for Heath's little daughter, Matilda, aged 2.
So tragic.

How sad! I never would of even thought of him as a someone who would of died like that. The only time he was in magazines was just pics of him Mich Williams and thier daughter. Even when they split it was smooth and out of the spot light. I hope for his daughter and former fiances sake this stays under raps and he's not made to look bad after his death.

my prayers go out to the family of this amazing actor. I feel mostly for his daughter who will grow up without knowing her father. It will be a huge void in her life and will ultimately define her character. I hope that her mother is able to keep the memory of Heath alive so that her daughter can feel some kind of connection to him even though she won't remember him. Losing a parent is awful (fact) but never knowing your parent is probably worse. This is such a sad story…. and absolutely no truth to it being suicide. This young guy accidentally lost his life …. and had so much to live for. God bless his family and friends. For those who believe it was suicide, please read up…. he admitted only 2 months ago that he was popping sleeping pills (ambien) b/c he had been filming (batman movie) and was only getting 2 hours of sleep b/c his mind was racing. There's no reason to think that he brought this on himself intentionally. Be respectful.
Oh and i also heard that he had phemonia, so the pills could be used for that… to relief the pain and such.
So freaking sad!!! Another promising young actor like River Phoenix is gone. These movie stars have it "all" but then again I guess with all the fame, money and everything they are still missing something in their lives. I send well wishes to Michelle Williams and baby Matilda.
It is sad to say but ole "Brit Brit" may end up the same way if she does not get herself together and get some HELP!

So sad that these people have all of the $ in the world and what alot of us middle class people want, yet, they are so unhappy and resort to drugs to stay happy. I know $ does not keep people happy but at 28 with a daughter added on to everythig it really confuses me on why these Hollywood people feel the need to drown themselves with drugs! So Sad and confusing.
He was NOT found dead…he was found in Cardiac Arrest and EMS tried to give him CPR but THEN it was too late and he died! Get it right!

What did I do to deserve this pain? Why did you take him when he had so much more to do. Perhaps you did it on accident, because everyone makes mistakes, or perhaps you did it on purpose. I am sure that you have your reasons, but no reason will be good enough for me. Did you even think about what it would do to the people that love him? Maybe you did and this was your way of bringing us all together, or maybe you hadn't even given it a thought. I will have to find it in my heart to forgive you, because to be quite honest, I would have wanted him too. To sit with, to talk with, to bathe in the light of his eyes, to just be in his presense would be my hearts joy. He is the angel I never had the chance to meet. I never got to say hello and now I will never have the chance to say goodbye. If it is not to much trouble, could you tell him for me? Let him know that I, and many others, love him and carry him with me, and will forever. That he will always live on in our hearts and memories. Tell him how badly we are hurting, and that we think of him every day. Please God, take good care of our angel. Let him feel your love every day.Do not let our tears be for nothing. And as time passes, if you do not love him as strong as the first day, please send him back to us. We will take good care of him…I promise.
This saddens me terribly. I can't believe it. I actually cried over a celeb dying. Heath Ledger has always been my favorite actor. Even though I never met the guy I still feel like I'm going to miss him.
Regardless of the cause of this tragedy our thought and prayers should be with Michelle Williams, their daughter, and his family.

Cant you get anything right? There are NO reports that sleeping pills are the blame. They found some sleeping pills in his room, but they have not been attributed to his death. Why cant you leave him alone? He is dead and his family is grieving, he has a child. Dont you have any decorum? Of course not youre an animal! As we would all like to believe we know him, we don't know his life in reality to himself. I would, as I know most of you would too, like to believe this was a bizarre accident. I am so saddened by his death because he seems so real, but we don't know anything about the stress he had in his life. Its not easy being a big shot. I hope that America does not manipulate his death into a publicity stunt with paparazzi doing things that will hurt those who are so close to him in life. He was a great man to us all and we should give his family and close friends the ability to have their time with him as he leaves them in life. We should wait until his family is okay until we hound the magazines and websites/blogs for information. There is nothing more painful in this situation than making a publicity stunt out of something so personal to others. Lets give him the praise he deserves and let his friends and family fill in the blanks we want to know. He was a great man and he deserves that from all of us.

Funny.Just today I finished reading Valley of the Dolls.And now this.It seems like God is telling me to stay away from sleeping pills.And everyone else should too.Tragic.It's 5 am here in Brazil and I can't sleep….again.I think I'll start reading another book and take a nap tomorrow afternoon.My dream of becoming an actress has been seriously affected.Hollywood is poison.

I also LOVED Heath when he was on Home and Away (even before then when he was in sweat). Its so sad that hes gone, and even more tragic that he leaves behind a gorgeous little girl.
So, single mums raise their kids every day, the kid will be fine. If he was a junkie she's probably better off without him anyway.

Today is a sad day for Western Australia, Australia and the world as a whole. Sadly, the media over here in Perth have reacted much the same as Perez and the likes, hounding family members, friends etc. Where is the respect? Both Heath and his family, Michelle and their daughter deserve the utmost respect to grieve in their own privacy without utter bullshit like this flying around.

Re: Mark – Re: evelyn – No, Evelyn, his pneumonia was on the mend and there was no adverse reaction from the sleeping pill taken as prescribed. He was very healthy, the pneumonia was a general diagnosis for bronchial fatigue from his filming in London. He simply was worn out and sleeping in the nude was not unusual for him. The apartment is well heated and very comfortable…fur throws, etc.
The news that Heath Ledger is not with us anymore has totally devastated the world it's a mere tragedy and a great loss. Heath was a sweet and very humble person some may say he had a heart of gold. He was a commendable actor his work was of a true Hollywood legend. He will be dearly missed across the world by his fans, family and co-stars. We wish his family peace at this sad time and pray that Heath's legend remains amongst us forever. R.I.P

Heath Ledger is an incredibly talented person and a brilliant and courageous artist/ This is tragic.
