The "Reverend" Fred Phelps's Westboro Baptist Church announced plans to protest at the funeral of Heath Ledger.
Why?
The "God Hates Fags" hatemongers will picket the decease Aussie actor's funeral because he is a pervert who promoted homosexuality by appearing as a gay man in Brokeback Mountain.
We wish we could laugh at this stupidity, but it just makes us angry!
Heath may not have been perfect, but he doesn't deserve this.

I usually don't post to these… but this one just made me absolutely cringe… I have no ties to any gays…however I do feel that heterosexuality or homosexuality is a personal choice… being brought up in a christian home and a christian school I do know that as a christian you are NEVER supposed to deem someone to hell, commit so much hate, and show so much disrespect for the dead. Heath Ledger was an amazing ACTOR. Key word actor. It was one movie out of the dozens he made. It was his career, he was also a son, a father, a friend so how can this church prosecute him not knowing the person he may or may not have been? They are not God. Sadly this isn't a joke. I live in Kansas, and Fred Phelps and his church tried to picket my grandfather's funeral when I was only 7. It was awful because the church had to be covered in police officers. Here in Kansas people hate this church, because its exactly what Christianity shouldn't be. They spread more hate and cruelty than most people, and the church only has about 80 people that are all Fred Phelp's family. It's not really even a church if the only people going are your family members, its really more like a family reunion where they just preach to each other to hate gays, jews, and for some reason people who work at the KC star newspaper.

As a resident of Topeka, Kansas ( where the Phelps live), I really just want to say how much many, if not all, Topekans and Kansans are extremely ashamed of the Phelp's actions. Picketing a funeral to promote one's own personal agenda is pure evil. It is the exact opposite of what Jesus would do. It is demonic and repulsive behavior.
I recently saw some type of interview with young, extremist Christians( yes, they are like extreme Musilim's or terrorists who force their religious beliefs on others) the college students claimed that they were going to save the world by fighting against abortion and gay marriage. I had to laugh…I assumed that we could save the world by abolishing nuclear weapons, biological weapons terrorism and global warming. How does one even compare these issues?
I mean, if we kill the planet by destroying the ozone or piss off another country enough for them to drop some kind of bomb on us, how does ending gay marriage and abortion (social issues) even matter at that point? We will all be dead! Real issues of Peace and Saving our Planet from Man's mass consumption are the only issues one can consider to save the world. Brokeback Mountain was a beautiful film, when Ennis smelled his daughters sweater and placed in the closet while looking at his beloveds' shirt was one of the most poignant, touching scenes of all time. The lead woman involved with this organization was on a local radio station a few times talking about her beliefs. They are some of the sickest, most disgusting people to walk this planet.
