The "Reverend" Fred Phelps's Westboro Baptist Church announced plans to protest at the funeral of Heath Ledger.
Why?
The "God Hates Fags" hatemongers will picket the decease Aussie actor's funeral because he is a pervert who promoted homosexuality by appearing as a gay man in Brokeback Mountain.
We wish we could laugh at this stupidity, but it just makes us angry!
Heath may not have been perfect, but he doesn't deserve this.

i have never felt such anger for a group of people in my life!!!! THEY ARE ALL FUCKING CUNTS!!! and i NEVER use that word but they are FUCKED UP!!!!!
The funny thing is about this is the "reverend" Doesn't really follow god because if he was a true "reverend" he would know that he is not here to judge anyone because that is not his job! So really the only thing that he is trying to prove is that he doesn't not like gay people…. Why protest and a straight man's funeral? He's just trying to get someone to listen to how stupid he is…
God Hates Fags almost came to one of my high school's graduation ceremonies two years ago because we had a gay kid graduating. He had been on a MTV reality show, Camp Jim, so that's how they found out about him. Luckily, the town police required them to get a permit to protest on school grounds, but made it so they would need to get a request in by an unreachable date, thus no one came. However, Heath doesn't deserve this. He was a great actor, friend and father. Who cares if he played a gay man? This group needs to geet a life. Hopefully they will all go to hell
What a crazy church. These are the people that believe THEY are the only ones making into heaven. Why would anybody protest a funeral?! I was absolutley shocked and remain incredibly sad over poor Heath Ledger's death. And these idiotic hatemongers have no concept of love and respect. I go to Virginia Tech and Fred Phelps and his followers also tried to picket the funeral of the victims of April 16th. It is technically legal, apparently he does it all the time to fallen soldiers from Iraq. However, there was a radio show host that offered them an hour of air time or something in exchange for not protesting at the funeral, which they took because they ultimately want to spread their message of "god hates fags" and "god hates america" (both separate websites- i'd say check them out but it is disgusting). So if that does happen, maybe Perez or some other big media name could work out a deal with them so they won't subject heath's family and friends to hate.

Only for the sake of his family, I hope Australia has stricter free speech laws that will prohibit this "church" from protesting. The only reason they get away with it here is because they are all certified lawyers who will file lawsuits arguing the first amendment enables them to protest.

Besides, what kind of Reverend would want to push people away? Isn't the goal in fact to draw others near? To build a Christ-like manner in others? In my mind, Jesus would never set up a picketting squad to attack others with hate. The Reverend sounds more like a Pharisee than a man of God.
