One Bit Of Good News

The Associated Press now reports:
"A rolled-up $20 bill was found near Heath Ledger's body, though no illegal drugs were found in his apartment, police said Wednesday.
The bill would be taken to a lab for testing, though no visible drug residue was found on it, police said."

I understand that this website wants to be the "first" to report someone.
But if it's not fact and it's not news that what business is it of mine.
Someone lost a child, a father, a boyfriend, a great talent…whatever have you.
It's a huge loss. But I don't need to know the details of something so personal in someones life…personal let's say like piecing together the last few moments of someones life.

I think it is horrible that this news was released at all. The authorities could have quietly collected the bill and had it tested. Then IF there is residue they can report. Why put the info out there so that people can jump to conclusions. Seems needlessly hurtful for his family.

I dont think the saddest thing in this is that it is harming his reputation. Dont get me wrong, that is horrible but I think all the false accusations thus far are way more harming to his daughter in the future. She now not only has to grow up without her daddy there but when she gets older she is going to seek info on him and she is going to find crap written about him that isnt true. I have never done a drug in my life and yet I can't tell you how many times I've doodled crap and nonsense on a paper or rolled up a piece of paper or dollar bill when I was chatting with someone on the phone. When I give a tip, I fold it in the small of my hand and pass it to my valet.There are countless reasons why one would have a rolled up dollar bill.Drug use is not the only reason to roll up a bill.
