Janet Jackson's new single, Feedback, has failed to connect with the public.
The song failed to crack the top 30s on the singles' charts.
And, according to Soundscan, Feedback, dropped from #44 last week to #66 this week.
Sad.
On a brighter note, Rihanna continues to go from strength to strength.
RiRi's bangin' new single, Don't Stop The Music, jumps from #15 to #6 on this week's Soundscan charts.

Even though Just A Little While reached #1 on the Radio Airplay charts it failed to make an impact on the top100 singles charts, only peaking at #19.

Feedback is a great song….I can't believe it hasn't done better. In the first week it was released to the airwaves, it was the most added song to radio stations nationwide. Janet's new single deserved a second listen. I really hope this cd gives her some big hits

This is because so much of pop music relies on Youtube views. Youtube video counts convert into record sales and Janet's video was taken off Youtube 3 times! Preventing it from cracking the million view mark. I watched this happened being a Janet fan. The first one was taken down when it hit 400,000 (because it went against Yahoo copyright or some bullshit). The one owned by Universal records was taken down by Universal. I estimate that Janet's Feedback got over 2 million views but you can't see that because it was sabotaged.
So folks like you who don't have a mind of your own saw that the song wasn't catching on so you ignored it.
What you fail to see is that America is scapegoating Janet over a fucking nipple, making an example out of her, her body and her sexuality and repressing yours. Janet's video Feedback was a showcase of everything that is missing in Pop music. First of all Janet is the ONLY pop singer (in her 40s I might add) that can keep up with her back up dancers). She doesn't use shiteous harsh quick flash editing (LIKE RIHANNA) to cover up her talent. She kept the camera on her for you to clearly see that it was that she was doing. And she made it a point to not go the easy route and put on a bathing suit or silver body paint to sale her sexy song and did something totally subliminal and artistic.

I like Janet but I have to say some stuff. I think what she did at the Superbowl was so dumb and a HUGE miscalculation. First kids were watching and parents didn't appreciate that. What was the point? Was that suppossed to be sexy or controversial. It was just plain dumb and kind of creepy. Also, she has God awful styling. Often times she is made to look like a cheap black hooker from the 1980's hanging outside of the Lincoln Tunnel in NYC selling 5 dollar blowjobs. I think she should go the classic styling route and not try to be a horny 20 year old cooing and talking about sex all the time. Her music does seem to be dated and the current video is really off the mark. Notice how much of it there is really nothing going on.
