The Olsen Connection

Filed under: Australiastic > Heath Ledger > Olsen Twins

The New York Times has precise new details about the death of Heath Ledger and how the whole Olsen Twins chatter got started.

They report:

"According to the police, at about 12:30 p.m., a housekeeper, Teresa Solomon, arrived at the apartment, at 421 Broome Street in SoHo, to do household chores. At about 1 p.m., she went into Mr. Ledger’s bedroom to change a light bulb in an adjacent bathroom; she found him on the bed face down, with the sheet pulled up to his shoulders, and heard him snoring.

A masseuse, Diana Wolozin, arrived to give Mr. Ledger a massage at about 2:45 p.m. At 3 p.m., after Mr. Ledger did not emerge from his bedroom, with the door closed, the masseuse called him on his cellphone but got no answer. She saw him laying in bed. She took a massage table out of the closet and began to set it up near his bed. She then went over to him and shook him, but got no response. Using his cellphone, she used a speed-dial button to call Mary-Kate Olsen in California to seek her guidance, knowing Ms. Olsen to be a friend of Mr. Ledger’s. She told Ms. Olsen that Mr. Ledger was unconscious. Ms. Olsen said she would call some private security people she knew in New York, and hung up. Ms. Wolozin again shook Mr. Ledger, called Ms. Olsen a second time, and said she believed the situation was grave and would call 911.

Ms. Wolozin called 911 at 3:26 p.m. to say that Mr. Ledger was not breathing. The call occurred less than 15 minutes since she had first seen him in bed and only a few moments after the first call to Ms. Olsen. The 911 operator urged Ms. Wolozin to try to revive Mr. Ledger, but Ms. Wolozin’s efforts were not successful.

Emergency medical workers arrived at 3:33 p.m., at almost exactly the same moment as a private security guard summoned by Ms. Olsen. The medical workers moved his body to the floor and then used a defibrillator and CPR, to no avail. Mr. Ledger was pronounced dead at 3:36 p.m. By that point, two other private security guards summoned by Ms. Olsen had arrived, as had police officers.

The police said that all five witnesses — Ms. Solomon, the housekeeper; Ms. Wolozin, the masseuse; and the three private security guards summoned by Ms. Olsen — were fully cooperating with the authorities."

"knowing Ms. Olsen to be a friend of Mr. Ledger’s" … More like "knowing how celebrities prefer to be dealt with when passed out and intoxicated ". Come on … this Young Hollywood substance abuse has gone too far. We almost glamorize it now … Kurt Cobain, Anna Nicole Smith, Heath Ledger … how many more have to die before we learn? My heart goes out to Heath's family and friends.

I don't understand why she called "Ms. Olsen"(was it Ashly or Marykate?) before calling 911 if he was unresponsive, that should have been her first call. But you tend to do strange things in times of panic.

    OMG,
Do u people follow celeb gossip or not?
u should know the answer to this by now.
all of them (young hollywood frequent and habitual drug users) have Od'ed at one point or another and they were revived by someone in their camp i.e security then they were admitted to the hospital for "exhaustion"to keep this type of info from leaking to the media.
I remember hearing about an incident like this with Lilo when she was at her worst, nicole richie, amy winehouse…they were saved in those instances but sadly heath was not. I believe the massage therapist was following the typical protocol that she has become accustomed to when dealing with "that crowd".

There must be something pretty valuable in that apartment for MKO to send in the "clowns." I mean, if the guy in the bed under the sheets is "unresponsive" what to you need the security guards for? Of course they were cooperative when the police finally came, because by then, they disposed of something pretty important. Who knows…maybe the drugs were planted there…was there any methadone?

Why did the therapist use Heath's phone instead of hers to call MKO? How did she know Heath's password or code to access his phone contacts? Do we know for a fact that Heath scheduled an appointment with the therapist? OR…did MKO simply have her come over as a surprise!!! That's why the therapist first called MKO…

Why in the world would someone's first thought, upon finding a perosn unconscious, be to call one of the Olsen twins. God God, people… dial 911!!! Now people will always wonder if he might have been saved if that retard had only called the appropriate authorities immediately.

Re: chubbers – you're right, chubbers, but your aunt was family. What is Mary-Kate, a Ghostbuster??? I mean, she's not related to the dude. Sure, the therapist freaked out, but I think it's mucho bizarro that she knew to use his phone instead of hers. That signaled MKO to pick up, otherwise, she might not have answered. I guess, when in doubt, call MKO!

    Re: sarah
    To Sarah from Sarah:

We do not need another republican (Re-boob-li-con) from Texas to "set this country straight". Ron Paul will not be elected president in 2008. You might as well start dealing with that fact right now.

You also need to realize that adults have a responsibility when it comes to managing their own health and wellbeing. When a doctor prescribes me medication, I take it upon myself to research the drug before I ingest it and I speak with the pharmacist and doctor to make sure that I understand why I'm taking the medication and they understand the other medications that I am taking. "Big Pharma" is not forcing their pills down anybody's throat. People are looking for a quick, easy fix, and they should know better than to think that a quick fix exists. The immediate gratification generation (baby boomers and Gen Xers) is to blame for this mindset, not pharmaceutical companies.

Grow up and take responsibility for your own life instead of blaming corporations.

I cant believe this crap. How fucking retarded is this lady. She realized he wasnt breathing at 3pm…..by the time the paramedics get there it is 3:30pm. She should be blamed for his death if they find that his actual time of death falls in between that time period. This moron immigrant massage therapist pissed away valuable time that could have saved his life. It only takes 4 minutes of being without oxygen in order for brain damage and death to occur. That was probably used up on calling that other fucktard MKO or thumbing thru his phone.

I found my best friend dead in his apartment…I even went back to the door and banged so loud that there was no doubt something was seriously wrong. Surely the housekeeper and the therapist knocked loudly on his door…Wouldn't you think that after he didn't respond to the knocking, you'd walk over and make sure he was okay BEFORE you put up your massage table????? I wish I could watch Nancy Grace tonight…she's gonna get to the bottom of this.

If I had been in Heath Ledger's position (or any other deceased celebrity), and likely perceived as dead, I would have wanted whoever found me, IF my cell phone was near, and HAD speed-dial numbers on it—to start with speed-dial 1, who was hopefully my mother. Then 2, 3, until they got a very close next of kin or a very very close friend. Who wants the local neighborhood patrols dispatched first to go schlepping & traipsing around in your private residence? If I were dead, please call my Mom first. (Then she could bless you out for not calling 911 first!)
Anyhoo…Heath Ledger was a cool & nice guy. He was humble & a great, intense actor. It is always sad to see a young person with so much to live for be cut short. I feel kind of like I did when Princess Diana died and JFK, Jr. died.

    Re: LannaBanana

    I smell conspiracy…

Connected to writers strike? Connected to Cloverfield?

I find it interesting that he was supposed to film about a traveling theater by a guy who sold his soul to the devil. Sound like Hollywood?

Interesting that he was playing the part of "JOKER" from DC comics. I have been seeing allot of "DC" references in hollywood lately.

Joker was modeled after the Jester - who played both sides - for the people and for the king. He was called a fool and no one took his words seriously, so he was able to say allot of clever things without worrying too much about treason.

And the ambulance came at 3:33PM? The number 33 is significant in the Aryan movement. Look it up people! The Freemasons are at work here…

Remember that any "GUILD" like the Writers Guild was founded by the freemasons.

And the movie was called "Dark Knight"… "Knight" is from the times of "Knights Templar" who are linked to the Freemasons.

How is this related at all? There is a huge conspiracy happening people - look at our economics, weather changes, extreme excess with our youth… all these drugs… why? The "New World Order" may be the connection here.

This is such a sad tragedy… He was a brilliant actor…

  49. Hi Sarah says – reply to this

    149

I have to respectfully disagree with you here. The last thing this country needs is another corrupt power-hungry leader, regardless of party lines. I am an independent voter myself, but I find that many of my passions align with Ron Paul's ideals. And actually, Ron Paul is Libertarian, but of course running on a third party ticket would never get him anywhere. I wouldn't call the race yet– after all, he took second for the Republican vote in the Nevada caucases. Just because mainstream media refuses to acknowledge him, (HELLLO PEREZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ) doesn't mean he's out yet. And who is his competition to win the Republican ticket?? a load of douchebags. I won't vote if he's not on the ticket (why encourage them??) There's still 9 or so months til November, and his followers grow every day. But if you researched like you say you do, you know that already. :)
I work in the natural health field, so I am constantly researching and trying to inform others about the corruption of this current health industry. Of course I would like to believe in personal responsibility, and I certainly take it for myself, but to expect my fellow Americans to is a pipe dream in this country. The gov't does recognize this— take seat belt laws, for example. They know that the average American is ignorant and irresponsible. They use this to their advantage!

    continued…

  50. Bye Sarah says – reply to this

    150

Some people may feel like there's no reason to not trust their doctor. They don't even consider doing research. Does this mean they deserve to die? I'm interested to know what medications you take, because if you truly research them like you say, you would not take ANY. Did you know? BIG PHARMA cherry-picks its studies, suppressing those that speak the truth and promoting those that use junk science to support drugs at all. The FDA is part of the deal, so is the NIH. HUGE HUGE conflicts of interest, corruption, fraud, you name it. The People should not be Big Pharma's guinea big, but pills ARE pushed down our throats via heavy advertising, suppression of alternative health, and of course, our own doctors.
But don't take my word for it. I encourage EVERYONE to check out NewsTarget online. www dot NewsTarget dot com.

What really killed Heath Ledger?? Chemicals that have ZERO business being in the human body. PLEASE look at the facts instead of buying into the glamour of "suicide" or "overdose" or "scandal"…

That is all. Ron Paul 2008!!

Um, I heard this was just a rumor about Mary-Kate. Then I heard a commercial from the local News channel saying something about Mary-Kate having a connection to it all…. damn. What's the truth? It's 10:30 and the news comes on at 11, so maybe we'll find out the truth.

I'm pretty sure when the maid thought she heard heath snoring he was probably dying right at the second which you can't blame her if she thought he was snoring but for them to call someone else on his phone sounds like they were calling to see what they should get rid of before the cops came

If EMS got there at 3:33pm and started CPR and then stopped at 3:36pm he had to have not only been dead but "cold and dead". You don't stop CPR after only 3 minutes. This isn't like TV. In the hospital, at times we have worked on people for close to an hour before finally stopping. There is way more to this story than is being shared.

This COULD NOT be true. He was pronounced dead after EMS working on him for 3 minutes when someone heard him snoring only 2 hours before? Not gonna happen — a young guy would be worked on at least 30-45 minutes unless he had clearly been dead for quite a while.

Re: Heather – AS A PARAMEDIC,THEY never worked him for 3 min…they prob.hooked him up to the monitor, confirmed he was in asystole, looked for lividity and rigor mortis,,and then called the hospital for a time of death……If you have worked in a hosp..then you will agree…….this is what took 3 minutes

    185

WTF. Maybe she should have called 911 immediately when she saw he wasn't moving, breathing, stirring or looking alive. A dead body is a dead body. If you've seen one, you know instantly it's dead. You don't need to be told and this cannot be explained to the mere mortals who haven't seen this (not recommended, of course, but shit happens). Personally, if something happens to me, I am going to make sure that my husband doesn't call Mary-Kate Olson for help, for Chrissakes.

I have worked with both of them (Heath and Mary-Kate), and they are both voracious cocaine addicts. This is likely why they were such good friends.

why is no one commenting on the cocaine stains on her leggings.

i don't know why i've waited so long to comment on this, but it must be said. the connection between the two is purely drug related. the friendship connection was fueled by a shared dealer, and the housekeeper knew of Heath's drug history, so she called his known drug connection for advice. i know this for fact. absolute, 100% fact.

who knows if this post will actually get posted, or noticed. Heath, rest in peace. you will be missed, you were a wonderful, brilliant human being.

    D is right-
This happens alot more than we know. Celebrities o.d. and are revived and receive treatment on the D.L. they prob. thought he would be okay and getting police or EMS involved would alert the media so opted to send thier own people to take care of it until she realized how serious it really was- she was prob. freaked out and did the first thing she thought she should do. If she called EMS first and it turned out to be somrthing his people could have taken care of and he had lived she prob. would have gotten alot of shit for not keeping it private and could have been blacklisted as a whistle blower . Maybe MKO was the last person he called on his cell and she just pressed talk.

I can't believe the woman who found him was such as COMPLETE IDIOT to call Mary Kate Olsen and not 911 or the police…and then to waste even more time by calling her again to tell her the situation is grave…Jesus, how fucking moronic can one person be, I wish I could slap her…I just can't see what the logic could be behind calling some frivolous celeb who is miles away…she probably just randomly scrolled down the list of phone numbers on his cell and called the first famous name she recognised…bitch!…I hope she gets slaughtered by the media, probably won't happen though…
