Fox News Talk Network host John Gibson announced the sad and tragic death of actor Heath Ledger on Tuesday by mocking him and making light of his untimely passing.
Disgusting!
We've been on this creep's show before and we will boycott his show in the future, unless he issues an apology.
Here's a rundown of what happened:
"Playing an audio clip of the iconic quote, 'I wish I knew how to quit you' from Ledger’s gay romance movie Brokeback Mountain, Gibson disdainfully quipped, 'Well, he found out how to quit you.' Laughing, Gibson then played another clip from Brokeback Mountain in which Ledger said, 'We’re dead,' followed by his own, mocking 'We’re dead' before playing the clip again."
Gibson called Ledger a "weirdo" with a "serious drug problem" and suggested that Ledger killed himself because he had "a serious position in the (stock) market" or perhaps "watched the Clinton-Obama debate last night. I think he was an Edwards guy, cause he saw his Edwards guy was just completely irrelevant."

I emailed all three addresses. I hope anyone else who reads this blog will do the same. A reporter is most to investigate not assume things. No matter how he died, he should be respected. He was admired by many for his work, even gaining an oscar nomination. Gibson's remarks were disrespectful to Heath Ledger, Ledger's family and friends. He needs to make a public, on aior apology to Ledger's fmaily and friends. Gibson's remarks is how people lose respect for the network and why people no longer stay loyal viewers.

First of all I cant believe someone would honestly make such a big comedy out of a young talented amazing actor passing away. Who the hell do you think you are? You were completely out of line. Never would I think that someone would think its okay to ever say some of the stuff that you said. He yes he did make the comment about him dying a couple months ago, but then if you listened to what he said "He said he didnt want to cause he wanted to be there for his 2 year old daughter Matilda all of her life".
You owe people an apology for what you said. His daughter is going to grow up and with her its going to be hard enough cause she isnt going to know her father and shes already going to have to read the negative things people said about her father and i pray that she never hears this.

Kenned, you tool, the news in Europe is entirely 'opinion-tv', the difference is they PRETEND they are unbiased. In the US, meanwhile, pure opinion shows are prominently labled as such. You know from the jump that the views on such shows are opinion-they aren't pretending to be anything else. Unlike Europe, where grotesquely biased crap goes out as 'fact' instead of 'agenda', which is what it is. US news-actual news reporting is SO much fairer and unbiased than the crap that goes out in Europe.
Finally, since Perez, himself is so biased(remember the other day when he proclaimed E. Haselbeck an idiot when she was right?)he won't tell you, Gibson DIDN'T say this on Fox News, he said it on his own radio show. He would have already been fired had he said it on Fox News. I as well as most of us here I am sure did not know Heath personally…we all just got glimpses of his life and character's he portrayed. He was a very talented individual and I don't care what this asshole or anyone else says, to have him gone at such a young age is a tragedy. He was a human being, he was a father, he had family, friends, and loved ones just like the rest of us. He had a future ahead of him that was full of possibilities and now there is nothing…poor Matilda has no father and his parents have lost their son and so many people have lost a dear friend and loved one. This is no laughing matter and for it to be made as one is absolutely dispicable in my opinion. I sincerely doubt the intelligence of anyone who makes light of such a tragic situation.

When someone known in the public dies - it always seems to go this way. People need to be… (I'm going to be brutally honest here) a little overzealous in their accolades I think. The moment someone dies, suddenly they are being honoured and being touted as being so wonderful. Yet, while they were alive the media didn't necessarily speak of them that way. And then you get the nasty backlash of people who make jokes of it.
It is a sad situation… the media keeps using the word tragic - its tragic for his friends and family, especially his young daughter who will grow up not knowing her father.
