Fox News Talk Network host John Gibson announced the sad and tragic death of actor Heath Ledger on Tuesday by mocking him and making light of his untimely passing.
Disgusting!
We've been on this creep's show before and we will boycott his show in the future, unless he issues an apology.
Here's a rundown of what happened:
"Playing an audio clip of the iconic quote, 'I wish I knew how to quit you' from Ledger’s gay romance movie Brokeback Mountain, Gibson disdainfully quipped, 'Well, he found out how to quit you.' Laughing, Gibson then played another clip from Brokeback Mountain in which Ledger said, 'We’re dead,' followed by his own, mocking 'We’re dead' before playing the clip again."
Gibson called Ledger a "weirdo" with a "serious drug problem" and suggested that Ledger killed himself because he had "a serious position in the (stock) market" or perhaps "watched the Clinton-Obama debate last night. I think he was an Edwards guy, cause he saw his Edwards guy was just completely irrelevant."

I listened to the clip and with all due respect I think you are over reacting somewhat. if you listen to the clip in it entirety, and not just the 2 or 3 phrases you pulled out and stripped together it was not that offensive and nothing different then any other radio or tv show………

This is just disgusting. It's really no better than the crazy Fred Phelps. I was watching the news this morning, and they showed a clip of him talking about protesting at his funeral. There was a graphic that said "Heath burn in hell" with a picture of him with flames behind him. It literally brought me to tears. Perez - Thanks for reporting this. The things that so-called "news reporters" will say to draw attention to them and their shows is reprehensible. Unfortunately, even if this ass doesn't really feel that way, he is perpetuating an idea that people will latch onto and adopt as their own. Horrible, but inevitably the direction that the media has taken in the past decade or two. I don't appreciate everything you post, but I DO appreciate this one.
I did not watch your show but I heard the audio clip from it and I just have a few things to say to you. Some people who are 28 think about death. I am young and think about it all the time. It is something that we all need to think about sometime and especially him being as successful as he was because he had to think about things such as his job, like if he was in the middle of a movie (like he was) also where all his money would go. It was also something that he had to think about as just being a father and he had to think about the future of his daughter. So you need to come to the terms that yes, he was responsible and had to think of it. Another thing, how would you feel if you were to die and someone made fun of you and your death like you did to Heath Ledger? You would not be happy. Or for that matter I don't know if you have kids, a wife or parents that are still alive but how would you feel if your one of them passed away and some guy was on t.v. talking about them? You wouldn't be very happy, in fact you would be disgusted with the fact that they are talking about your loved one.

I grew up in Lawrence, Kansas and my entire childhood was full of freaks with graphic signs appearing at controversial plays, funerals, movie openings, etc. When John Kerry came to Topeka for the 30th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, Phelps and his nasty gang of hellraising morons were there along with their "god hates fags" signs.
