HEATH LEDGER enjoyed indulging in cocaine and ecstasy binges with NAOMI CAMPBELL in his early days as a Hollywood star, according to the supermodel's former assistant. Rebecca White worked for the British catwalk star for three years from 2001, and claims she witnessed the extent of the tragic actor's drug addiction several times during her employment. She tells British newspaper The Sun, "When I was working for Naomi I saw Heath do drugs a few times. He was new on the scene but everybody was hailing him as the new It Boy actor. "We had been hanging in Naomi's bungalow at the Bel Air Hotel. Heath asked Naomi if she had any cocaine - I use to carry it around for her - and I remember giving him the packet and he went off, back and forth throughout the night." At another celebrity event, White claims to have seen Ledger take ecstasy with reformed addict Campbell: "We went to… (a) party at this club. There was coke and a big bag of ecstasy pills. Naomi gave Heath a handful of these little blue pills and I remember him putting them all in his mouth at once and swigging a bottle of Cristal champagne." And White also alleges to have bought cocaine on behalf of the Brokeback Mountain star on more than one occasion: "Each time I got an eight ball, which is four-and-a-half grams. The second time he came up all three of us spent a night doing coke in her (Campbell's) bungalow. It was quite decadent. We were there for five or six hours doing lines." But White, who went on to work as a personal assistant for actress Claire Danes - a close pal of Ledger's ex-fiancee Michelle Williams - admits the actor was desperate to change his lifestyle following the birth of his and Williams' daughter, Matilda, in 2005. She adds, "Heath felt that he really wanted to be a family man. He adored his daughter." Ledger was found dead in his New York apartment on Tuesday (22Jan08). An autopsy carried out on Wednesday (23Jan08) failed to reveal how the actor died, although police believe his death is drug-related as sleeping pills were found by his bed.

Leave Heath alone. I honestly do think his death was an accident. It happens. I, myself, have taken way more than the dosage limit with sleeping pills just because I really needed the sleep. I'm more than sure a lot of people have done the same thing. It's just so sad that his death was accidental, because that means it wasn't his time. So sad. Leave him alone.

I'm gonna try not to bash this guy until the drug report comes back but we need to acknowledge that it's pretty likely that this was an accidental or non-accidental drug overdose. We're never gonna find out exactly what happened. You'd definitely conclude that Anna Nicole offed herself but nobody would come right out and say it. It will be the same thing with HL. We'll probably find out that it's drugs and nobody will be able to say if it was intentional. He probably took just enough to cause a problem and that's not enough to figure out where his head was at. We're kinda speculating for nothing. I understand the curiosity about this guy. Judge not….Drugs of any kind become a forbidden apple, your mistress. My drug of choice back in 2000 was cocaine (snorting and smoking it). I lost EVERYTHING. Excellent credit: Gone, Job: Gone, Family: Gone (dissapointed, put me in Rehab). It happens in ALL walks of life. I have partied with Doctors, Successful Business men, Teachers and of course the "Ghetto leeches". I am VERY ashamed that ALL that I worked for my entire life literally went up in a cloud of smoke. I have been sober since 2001 (my coke "binge" lasted around 9-12 months). NOBODY would EVER suspect me of doing such a stupid thing especially at the age of 35! What they say is true: You have to want help. You have to hit ROCK BOTTOM. I was in and out of rehab about 3-4 times, before I got my act together. My family has forgiven me, but I AM THE ONE who still hasn't forgiven myself. I see my "shrink" ( same one since becoming sober) and STILL feel like a failure. My doctor does not even know about the drug abuse, I went to him for Depression,Suicidal thoughts. I STILL haven't come clean even with him. I have been diagnosed with "Bipoloar, Depression, Severe Anxiety, Borderline Personality Disorder"…I HAVE TO LIVE with the fact that I KNOW that I did this to myself with the drug use. While I believe Heath Ledger did do drugs in his early days in Hollywood, I doubt he did them after the both of his daughter. I've followed his career since he first burst on to the scene and his whole attitude seemed to have changed with Matilda's birth. He seemed more mature and more interested in being a good father than a the party boy he was when he first came to Hollywood. So I doubt illegal drugs were what finally killed him.
