Heath Ledger's family will arrive in New York City on Friday from Australia.
Out of respect for their privacy, we won't name the funeral home the service will take place in. It'd be nice if the media left his family alone on that day, but we don't think that will happen.
Ledger's ex, Michelle Williams, and daughter, Matilda, arrived at their Brooklyn home on Wednesday. They were greeted by hordes of paparazzi. So wrong.
We didn't use those pics. Nor did we use the pics of Ledger's body being taken out of his apartment.
And we won't use pics from outside the funeral parlor.
Hopefully others will follow suit.

I think it's commendable that you have chosen not to show the pictures. Even the celebrity crazed, blog junkies like myself draw the line at some point. The family deserves to pay their respects in peace.
I just saw the most heartwrenching, disgusting video clip on another site of photograhers chasing his MOTHER, a mother who just found out her son was dead… absolutely horrid! Thank you for having ***some*** respect for the situation.

This is a very adult and good thing you're doing, Perez. Like others have said, I hope the rest of them see this and do the same. Good job Perez on not posting those pictures or stating where the funeral will take place. Alot of people don't understand that actors/singers ARE human. I want to hear about their new projects, movies, music… shit that's related to their work, not their personal lives. There is a line that people have to learn not to cross.

It made me so incredibly angry, I couldn't even fall asleep. That poor woman and her child have enough to deal with. Give them this time together alone.

I live a block away from Michelle Williams and I was amazed at how many paps/news stations were present. Part of our street was closed off they had NYPD guarding their front door. Very sad! Hopefully people will allow the family some privacy during this awful time.

I think they should've flown Heath's body over to Perth and had the funeral in Australia BECAUSE HE WAS AUSTRALIAN. There would've been less of all this paparazzi crap which the United States seem to thrive on. Heath loathed all this shit.
