That was, by far, the most appropriate blog/article/written word that has been displayed thus far regarding Heath Ledger's passing. Please, lets not forget that actors/actresses/singers/etc. are first and foremost people. They have families and friends and pets and are loved for more than just the gossip they bring to the table. Maybe this lesson can be applied to the living as well (Brittney, anyone?). Though I say this as I'm on PerezHIlton.com…..

I understand that you have to make money, and this is what sells… but then don't say you agree with her when her entire article was about the negative affect the media has played in this whole situation. Star is right on with her statements- thank goodness there are some media members with class that are helping to honor Heath Ledger's memory rather than use the publicity of his death for a profit.

Could not agree more!!! Give his family some space. I have a 2 year old daughter and could never imagine having to go through what Michelle is going through. No one cares who he WAS dating. I am sure Michelle doesn't want to have to listen to all this crap about he was supposedly dating before this. Now she has no way of knowing the truth so people need to stop spreading stupid rumors.

I agree with what Star Jones said; as an adult who has lost a father, it is hard enough in the first few days to come to the realization that they are never coming back. I can't imagine what it must be like to have a very private affair turned into a media circus of speculation and flashbulbs. My heart and prayers go out out to Heath's family especially to Michelle and little Matilda.

I had the honor of meeting Heath, and i must say, he left a very positive and humble impression on me. I pray that his family and loved ones get some privacy at this difficult time.

Me? I selected what I wanted to watch. I avoided the shows and websites that fed into the frenzy.
When people stop tuning in and logging on to those sites, that kind of coverage will diminish.

I really have to agree with her, although she is very annoying and one of my least fav of "stars". I dont even want to watch the news I feel like once again the media LOVES the drama. Heath was and will always be one of the greatest actors of our time and my heart goes out to him and his family. I truly believe it was an accident and "the insider", "ET" etc should just let the family of Mr. Ledger grieve in peace at this time enough is enough. I feel the exact same way, I was literally sick to my stomach when I saw that there were pictures of the deceased being wheeled out in a body bag and that there were people taking pictures of it on their cell phones. DISGUSTING. This is a tragedy and those who are mourning deserve the time and privacy to do so. We will find out what happened but it takes time and patience and is NOT helped by making speculations or spreading rumors. I was upset about the loss of such a great talent and seemingly all-around great guy, but what is worse is the way it has been handled.

Tragedy as entertainment and titillation. The paps chasing Britney's ambulance was bad enough, but Michelle Williams and her child being forced to run the gauntlet of the world's media when they arrived home is just inhuman.
