I'm actually in total agreement with Star Jones - SOMEONE had to say it and pleasantly surprised at how eloquently she put it.
Now I am utterly disgusted by those posting here who feel that they have a right to invade a celebrities privacy and access to the most intimate details so they can speculate.
Too bad Perez won't read this, but if he does…Perez you are actually contributing to the voyeuristic, disrepecting of the lives (and deaths) of celebritites. As much as I applaud you for this posting, I'm having trouble with the obvious hypocrisy. I know you've built and empire on it and it's completely genius. I'm sure you won't change your formula as it's garnered you much attention and success, but please try and head the sentiments in Star's op ed.

I think this is a very good article, someone has to tell the paparazzies to give the family some space!! if no one says anything then tehy´ll just keep on doing what they do. Heath was a normal guy but only famous, the family has all the rights in the world to be left alone to grief and no one should even try to put them in theyre shoose unless tehy know how it is to loose a son, father, friend, husband or just a person they truly love….thats all i have to say!!
I don't really care for Star Jones but I do have to agree with what she wrote. The man has passed & the family can not even get a moment of privacy. What a shame. Let them grieve for heaven sake. Rest in peace Heath!

I agree with Star and what she wrote although I'm personally not a fan of hers. Perez my friend. You're great at what you do but it would have been refreshing if (since you seem to agree with Star) would have taken the same stance from the beginning and instead of reporting every little tidbit that was released by the hour. People always say that because celebreties are who they are they should expect to be followed around, photographed, videotaped, and all. That's cool and all, but they are just regular people who happen to come out on TV. Lately it's not that they're being interviewed about something, now they're being stalked…where is the respect?
I don't know, it just sucks that people's lives are so boring and pathetic that they have to stalk someone…that's just sad that they are soooo money hungry!!! I feel sorry for the stalking paparazzi, but I do respect the ones that do their work in a professional manner. I mean, look at Cristina Saralegui (I know she's a little bit–y), she's very successfull and she's not out on the streets stalking no one!!!

I definitely agree with her on thsi one… how sad for all these rumors to start since his death. He was a gorgeous man who sadly died of such a tragic way. People need to understand that this is something that should not be strewn across tvs, newpapers, and gossip columns. A life was lost. Hearts are broken. And things will never be the same because of it. No matter how it happened, it did. And somethings should just be leeft unsaid.

The family of Heath shouldn't have to deal with all this media bullshit!!! I lost my cousin, which was just 24, 3 months ago. He was murdered! Even though we live in a small town the local media wrote their bullshit stories. No one knows how truly hard that is to go through unless they have been there!
