Warner Bros., the studio that is releasing what will be one of Heath Ledger's last films ever, the new Batman movie, has just updated http://whysoserious.com/, the Dark Knight viral site, which is "run" by his character, the Joker.
A black ribbon has been posted in memory of Heath.
Very subtle but very nice of them do something and acknowledge the tragedy.

Bless you for not trying to gain off the intimate photos of his departure from this earth and especially for not showing photos of his "reasoned" love and beautiful baby girl during their flight back to the US. You really are a good person.

I was never a big fan of Heath Ledger. Now, I think I'll pay attention to the movies he has created, though I was looking forward to the new Batman.
I don't know why, but today his death is hitting me. Weird. It's so sad, all the things he could have done. It's so sad how much his family loves him. It's so sad that his daughter will only know of her father through stories and films, but never the real person.

While his untimely death is sad, it is not "tragic." "Tragic" is recieving a diagnosis of breat cancer, being hit by a drunk driver, or being born into poverty. Popping a bunch of pills (if that is what caused his death) because you don't have the patience to call a doctor, pharmacist or a friend for advice on your situation is stupid and petulant, not tragic. I am getting more than a little irritated about the gushing over his death. If gives people, especially the impressionable youth, that this happened TO Heath, not that he did it to himelf. The lesson here is not "young hot actor dies from prescription drug over dose, how much will his new Batman movie make this summer" but should be "young person unfortunately made a bad choice to take several prescription drugs without the advice of a physician or pharmacist and consequently caused his untimely demise." Hi, I am a 46 yr old mother of a 28 yr old son, I have been grieving all week for Heath and his family. His death has triggered something in me that I can't explain. I do not know him, but his movies have touched me. I have followed his career and looked forward to his Movies. He was my favorite actor and I loved his style. No other actors death have I taken so hard, I think that must say something to his rare talent!! what a special human being to have lost at this very young age.I still am having trouble dealing with this I can only imagine how hard it is for the people who new and loved him! My prayers go out to them and I can only hope that where ever Heath is now that its a better place. I guess when its our time to go there is nothing anyone can do, I thank god that when he did Die he was sleeping peacefully. Its still so sad to lose a talented young man with a bright future ahead of him. You will be missed !!I also want to send my condolences to his Family and friends Stay strong !!
He will always be remembered in my heart and soul, for he was the one that helped shape and "changed my stars" for the better. What a beautiful white light soul. When he made it home to the other side they were very proud of what he has accomplished here on earth. He has contributed so much for the human race not half the people here know. What a special gathering they had for him when he made it home. I will be eager one day to meet him as an entity.
Just because he did the movie Brokeback mountain did not make him gay. People should not think that the characters they play are really them. At least he had the guts to do that part. I can not imagine the trouble he went through. Apparently the loss of sleep has been going on for months. Why don't you try to just sleep 2 hours a night for EVEN a WEEK or two you won't be able to last it's terrible. In truth no one will no how he died until a toxicology report is concluded. It is a little premature to be calling somebody a junkie who is on PRESCRIPTION medications' ordered by doctors. We live in a politically correct world and it's not prudent to be making such comments. Especially since none of us new him.
I didn't like him as an actor and hated most of his movies. However he had a family and was loved show some compassion for his daughter and family.
