A group calling themselves "Anonymous" has declared war against Scientology and created this creepy video announcing their campaign.
Here they are, in their own words:

Scientology should be stopped, or at least fully exposed. Salvation shouldn't be something that can be bought with something as trivial as money. When you die, your money becomes totally worthless to you, so what's the point of buying your way into heaven? How do you benefit from that when other religions offer the exact same thing without any sort of up-front costs? Scientology is nothing more than a profit seeking cult that has gotten way too far into the mainstream's attention. In it's case, Scientology only gains power from more people knowing about its existence, so it should be stopped before more people are manipulated out of their time, life, and money! It's more than just Tom Cruise being downright strange, it's about standing up to something that hurts people when it claims to be doing them good.

for everyone's edification, "legion" comes from the latin word "legionem" which means "body of soldiers", and is derived from "legere", which means "to gather". in common usage, outside of its military defintion, it means "an indeterminate number". whether or not the greek translators of the bible meant to imply that the demon actually called himself "Legion", it's far more plausible to read it as the demon say "i am one of many".
so in anonymous saying "we are legion", they are not saying "we are a demon". they are saying "we are many". klar?
