Shirley was being interviewed about her fanatical church's decision to protest the funeral and memorial for Heath Ledger.
She did not take it very well when the radio hosts brought up her illegitimate sons.

I sent in an email to those assholes. Here's what I wrote:
Are you people crazy? I'm not in any way shape or form a Christian, but I do know that God is about LOVE. What you people preach is pure hate. What you do is no different than Hitler and his holocaust. Don't you think God is tired of people carrying out insane, sadistic battles in his name? Obviously, your dumb little protests are ineffective. I doubt you've changed even one person's mind about homosexuality. If it's so offensive to you why not keep your mouths shut and mind your own business? All you do is bring more attention to the gay community and the evils that are done to it everyday by society and as a result give people more sympathy for them. I am open to anyone having any opinion they want. The problem is when they shove that opinion down people's throats.
Heath Ledger was a beautiful man and a talented performer who was taken from us much much too early. He was NOT gay. He played a gay man in a movie. Your issue should not be with him, especially after he's dead. If you're angry about Brokeback Mountain maybe you should have picketed it's premiere or tried to have people boycott it.
Honestly, what benefit or success will you gain for your cause by protesting a man's funeral? All you'll gain is more hatred from the sane portion of the population and more support for the gay community.
