This explosive article in the Sunday Mail claims that Michelle Williams broke up with Heath Ledger because of his drug abuse.
A member of the actor's "inner circle" claims that Heath was using heroin and cocaine, in addition to pills, and that his drug problem spiraled out of control recently because he thought his ex, Michelle, was gonna request full custody of their daughter, Matilda.
The article also offers up a theory on what led to Ledger's death.
According to his pal, "He was not the type to have killed himself. The way I hear it, he went out the night before, he was doing cocaine, he wasn't able to sleep, and the investigators think he woke up, didn't remember taking sleeping pills and then took what accidentally was an overdose."
We don't know what to make of it all.
Thankfully, the toxicology results will be in within the next few weeks and that should bring some closure to all.

I'm angry that Heath left us too soon. I wasn't his friend or even met him, however his work on screen (not always) was indicative of a very special talent. Brokeback brought me to think of Jimmy Dean, that's how raw his performance was. I'm sorry for his parents, everyone especially his little daughter that will never know her dad. However at present there is no proof that his death is related to narcotics or even presecription medication. By putting it out there you're adding fuel to the media gossip fire. i'm incredibly sad at the passing of an amazing actor, who always came across in the few public appearances he gave as sweet, funny, shy and grounded. i don't believe that it's any of our business what he may or may not have been indulging in, because we as fans are first and foremost admirers of his WORK and not his PERSONAL LIFE.
there are many people, most importantly the friends and family of mr ledger, who are mourning this huge loss both in a personal and professional capacity. i think it would be much easier on everyone if this pointless speculation was to stop until the relevant authorities have carried out their investigations.

Let's get to what we don't know: his death was a tragic accident, or something to the contrary. Until we know for sure, I think the media should just shut their mouths and stop all the speculation that's been running rampant.
This man has a two-year-old daughter. His family is going through the worst time in their lives. Their hearts are broken, they're numb, they can't understand what's going on right now. Michelle Williams is trying to figure out how to explain to their little girl that she will never see her daddy again. It's heartbreaking, tragic, and it's being used to fuel our never ceasing desire to eavesdrop on the lives of others.

Apparently The Imaginarium of Dr Parnassus is being completed with Johnny Depp picking up where Heath Ledger left off. When Heath Ledger's character goes through the magical mirror his form will change into Johnny Depp's. There is only 6 weeks left of filming & it is all the magical special effects when Heath's character goes through the mirror. Depp's schedule is open & is not filming presently. Hopefully this will actually happen & Heath's work will be preserved. Who better than Johnny Depp to pull this off.

Re: Dina – beause it sucks, that every celebrity is an addict. they are famous, and they are talented, good looking, whatsoever and i agree to handle them with respect and "care" (i do not need to see pictures of brad pitt buying a hot dog - so why are there thousands of people surrounding thim, to spread the picture (fe). BUT they are also idols and heros to "us", our teenagers/kids.. that was, is and should be a part of their job.
one addicted celebrity, fine - but it seems like all of them are addicts and that is not what our "heros" should be like.
if he had died of pneumonia, ok, but why were the olsens informed first? maybe because he was an abuser and maybe because they all were afraid that this was becoming public if they'd called 911 first? the whole story is sick. and if the story is, that a (former) good looking, talented young man died of drug abuse, the whole world should know. there's no use to pretend that drugs are ok and harmless.

These so called "friends" and family members are not doing the world any good by trying to hide any problems that Heath might have had.
Even if there was a drug abuse problem, that does not make his passing any less sad, and if Michelle Williams broke things off in an effort to protect their child, then she made the right choice. Its far better that their child feels safe and does not recall anything negative about her father.
Its just sad all around, but lets not make Michelle Williams look like a monster for putting their daughter, before her own heart and needs.
Can everyone please stop speculating about what happened until we have proof? What about this poor guy's family? How are they supposed to deal with all this plus all of the "rumors". People just need to shut the hell up.
