However, I have to say: as much as I am disgusted by Michael Jackson today…he was IT back in the day. His originality has influenced so many artists in spite of his personal proclivities. While as a fan I have been traumatized by his seperation from reality, the same trauma has caused me to accept that there are "two Michaels"…the extremely talented one and the one that I want to know nothing about.
Despite my acceptance of this split, I will NEVER ever (ad infinitum) accept that a remake of this song, done with no feeling or soul can exist on the same plane as an update or improvement of the original.

As for the the idiot that kept writing that he is the best selling artist of all time, he is wrong.
