That's too bad, as this very tragic real story was swept under the bureaucratic rug and has never been resolved. Love Martin Sheen, don't suspect he picked a rubbish script for shits & giggles. Will still add it to my Netflix Queue and spread the word.

I got this movie in Bali a couple of years ago.. and surprisingly it is actually really good; i was expecting the worst but the nature of the film is alrming

I saw the movie a while ago here in Europe, so it MUST have been out for a while in the US, no?? Anyway, it was fine….not the greatest movie but it touched some important issues.

Thats such a shame, not for the sake of her career, but the hundreds of women who have been murdered in Juarez, an issue which this movie would have brought attention to , sadly, few will see it, and we can go on pretending that the atrocities in Juarez are not happening…

The reason this went to DVD is because the issues are real and tragic and the US doesn't want us citizens to know that they're involved in the murders of thousands of young Mexican girls.
This did not go to DVD because of JLO's acting but because of politics and the Border problems. I'm disappointed in Banderos taking his name off of the publicity-afraid he'll be blackmailed????

I saw this movie over a year ago, it's actually a really good movie. You should definitely watch it! Definitely not one to compare to "Blonde Ambition" or any other Jessica Simpson movie, nothing against Jessica Simpson. This particular movie touches on a very important and unfortunately true story of hundreds and I believe even thousands of women who have been raped and killed over the course of about 10 years or so. The most unfortunate thing about it all is that there is no end in sight to it, and that's tragic!!!

i dont this this is another JLO PULLS A JESSICA SIMPSON movie. this is actually a really good movie about a really important issue that has been going on for far too long and its a real shame that it went straight to DVD. i live in a border town myself in Mexico and im an american citizen and i think this is definetly an issue that needs more attention. i saw this movie like 7 months ago… it's not exactly new… but honestly, it is worth the watch. made me furious, but it's intricate and detailed and something worth watching.

Ok people, let's get real. The reason that this movie went straight to DVD is because it's horrible. It isn't well made, it's laughable and J. Lo is terrible in it. If it was "such a good movie and everyone should see it" it wouldn't have been BOOED at the Berlin Film Festival and wouldn't have gone straight to DVD. Good films just don't go straight to DVD! Any of you who have seen it and think it's worth watching probably enjoyed "Glitter" as well. Anyone with any taste in quality filmmaking should stay clear of this turkey. J. Lo ought to be ashamed.

This was actually a really good movie!! It's an eye opener and based on actual events. It's a shame this isn't going to theatres as it should. J-lo's mission to bring attention to the issues covered in the movie would have served a great purpose!
the movies is being held back because it discusses the negative implications of nafta. the rising death toll in cuidad juarez, farmers pushed off their lands, environmental degredation, american out sourcing of jobs and governments on both sides that don't give a shi about the people. its all capital interests. why is it that capital and commerce can move so freely across the borders while humans cannot? realness the pop satiated over-fed american public is not ready to see. this movie has already been out for over a year in mexico. i own it and its actually quite good.
I saw this movie months ago and I did like it- it is an important topic about the murders in Juarez, but I guess thats not good enough in the states- at least JLo tried to do a movie that mattered!

I saw this movie a few months ago and I have to say that this is one of Jlo's best movies. The movie is about social Issues in Uas and Mexico. Females have been getting killed raped and this is one of the only movies that was going to give a voice to the victims is a shame. You guys should really see this movie is great. is also starting Antonio Banderas
