if he's chewing up things in the house, do this: take a towel and cut it into small pieces. submerge those pieces into chicken or beef broth. Then roll each piece up into a ball and put it into a little sandwich baggie. Put those baggies intot he freezer. When frozen give one to Teddy (you don't want to do this on carpet
He will chew on this to get the flavor of the broth out. The frozen state will numb his gums and he won't have the need to chew on other things.
Also, in dog language high pitched sounds are fun/nice sounds and low pitched sounds are commands or reprimands. So, if you cry high pitched when he chews on you, then he thinks you're playing with him.

So cute … and trust me, it gets better. We have an F2B mini Goldendoodle, and he's just turned 7 months. The teething has definitely calmed down. Aside from that, they're the best dogs EVER!!!

I have a 9 1/2 month schnauzer puppy, Bella, and i regret NOT teaching her enough not to bite. She only bites me, though. Very rarely does she bite my bf but only if she's playing with him. For the most part though she bites her toys. I juss wish she would stop biting me ALL THE TIME

Hey Perez - congrats on the lovely puppy but egads man! What on earth are you trying to teach that dog???? You cannot allow him/her to bite at you like that - NO WAY - NO HOW!!! You are just training him to be a biter. Get him a chew toy for heaven's sake….you will most definately regret allowing that type of behavior in the future - especially when he bites someone and you have to put him down!!

I have a dog that is teething too–the best thing I have found are the rope toys. They are hard to chew on and you can play with the pup at the same time–that way, you stop being the chew toy! From one dog owner to the next…hope this helps!

Oh, Paris! I adore you. But encouraging your furry companion to chew and pull on your arms is not a good behaviour to teach. You never know when he might be around a kid and want to play like that. While he just thinks it's playing, the parent may not think that. There are a ton of great rope pull toys at the pet shop that he'll love. Promise
aaawww Perez. He's so cute. I have a little Yorktese/Malkie that's almost 4 months. And she is crazy!!! She's teething as well and has an obsession w/ attacking me in the face. lol… You can't help but love her though. She's my baby!! Using your thumb and index finger in an upside down "U", fold Teddy's upper lip down around the top canines and press firmly and say 'NO BITING!' Hold it for a few seconds…he may whimper but only because they don't like it. He should lick you after. If not, do it again. BE CONSISTENT. Agree with other comments about showing your dog proper pack order. Otherwise, you're in for bigger problems later. It's hard when they're so small and cute, but remember, they're still descendents of wolves and pack order is everything to them. They need consistent boundaries so they feel safe. Biting is NOT OKAY, even if it's "soft biting". They need to learn as puppies. Teddy is a doll.

be careful, don't let him do that, you don't want him to be vicious. I have 2 chihuahuas & we found lots of teeth everywhere in the house when they lost their baby teeth.
Give him some carrots - it helps numb their gums just enough to take the edge off, and that little cutie will stop biting!

Don't worry about the nipping too much. My dog (a cockapoo) nipped for the longest time (10 or 11 months), but eventually calmed down. Teddy is going to be a great dog. Keep up the training!
