We have a release date!
One of the biggest selling artists of 2007 in the U.K., Leona Lewis, is set to release her debut album, Spirit, in America on April 8th.
The singer is currently busy in the studio, PerezHilton.com has learned, recording two brand new songs for the U.S. release of - Forgive Me by singer/producer Akon and Misses Glass from the cutting edge producer/writers Madd Scientist and Rock City.
Additionally, the X Factor champ has re-recorded the video for her smash single, Bleeding Love.
Shot by acclaimed video director Jessy Terrero, the new U.S. video will premiere in early February.
Leona's Bleeding Love is now available for sale on iTunes.
Miz Lewis is up for four Brit Awards next month, the U.K. equivalent of the Grammys, and Perez will be in London for the big show. Can't wait to see her and be back in our favoritest city in the world!!!

She is an awesome singer with some great songs why does it matter what country it comes from fools. The US has some amazing acts but they are always over looked in America and instead some crap rapper or plastic bitch with a computerised voice will always be held higher than pure talent like Leona.

The first video was incredible. I love the part where she gets soaked by the sprinklers. I'm American and I firmly believe that Americans would adore the original video. We don't need a new one. Leona's work is AWESOME.
I love Leona. She can sing so much better than most so called artists these days. And she sounds better than Mariah and her screeching non-sense. But I have to say that Spirit ( I have a copy I bought while living in London) is kinda boring. But the woman can SING! Plus Bleeding Love is an excellent track.

Im from SoCal and I love Leona, she is going to be huge over here. better than Kelly, I think kelly is nothing like Leona because Leona is far better. Leona is a lovely girl who worked very hard to win the X factor. Every week she put on an truly amazing perormance. Her voice is the best one I have ever heard and she comes accross as a very decent person in interviews.
