Such a lucky girl!
A continuance was granted to the Simple Life star on Wednesday because a drug expert she has hired in her defense is not available to testify now.
"His testimony will be critical to Miss Richie's case and there is no other expert retained by the defense who can testify in this regard," Richie's lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, wrote in her motion.
The start of her DUI case is now August 16th and Nicole will be required to be in court then.

Mario, two things:
1.) I cannot tell that she is in fact "with child," and I would like to see a picture of her with her alleged "baby bump."

hey i live in calgary and today my dad saw Nicole at Opa (a greek food place). I thought she was fashionable aparantly she was wearing a furry brown purse? I think Joel is here for the Stampede?!?!?!
I do DUI defense work, and getting court continuances happens ALL the time. Even back when I worked more for the prosecution, it was common for cases to repeatedly get postponed for months/years depending on the circumstances of the case.
Back when I was keeping track, I estimated that of planned court appearances, I would only ever actually testify in about 5% of the cases I was subpoenaed for.
She totally got preggers to avoid jail time. She'll postpone until she starts to really show.

I should stop obessing over being a size zero, check out my self esteem, look into my thyroid and eat and exercise….i think its really my self esteem. Its been shot lately. They think it is just fine to punish the unborn (of anyone) with mystery meat and jail slop augmented with extra fat for calories and vitamins.

Nicole is a ugly, untalented nobody and I actually know for a fact that when she goes out she DOES call the paparazzi to get her picture taken and make sure she gets in the paper. Notice when she gets healthy they dont't care anymore so she has to go back to being skinny to get attention. My magazines would be alot more fun to read without her picture being in it.
if she has her baby full term, the doctors probably would still think it's premature! Is it possible for a toothpick to give birth to a potato stick?
