The Clinton campaign is featuring the esteemed poet in a new radio commercial featuring her distinctive and captivating voice.
Says Angelou:

It amazes me when comments are made that Sen. Barack Obama lacks experience. Must we be reminded that lack of leadership and experience is what has the United States fighting a war where too many lives has been lost. At least in my opinion Sen. Obama has the qualifications to lead this country back to normalcy. A clean fresh slate is needed and not residue from the past 44 leaders.
Sen. Obama is well qualified and has the experience, maturity and equality that this county needs and has lacked for centuries.
I say vote for fairness, honesty and integrity. Sen. Obama is articulate, presents issues that are real and can create solutions.
We need a change from where this country has been.

Hearing her talk about the presidency, her policies and answers for America's big problems, we are hugely impressed by the depth of her knowledge, by the force of her intellect and by the breadth of, yes, her experience.
We know that she is capable of both uniting and leading. We saw her going town by town through New York in 2000, including places where Clinton-bashing was a popular sport. She won over skeptical voters and then delivered on her promises and handily won re-election in 2006.
Her ideas, her comeback in New Hampshire and strong showing in Nevada, her new openness to explaining herself and not just her programs, and her abiding, powerful intellect show she is fully capable of doing just that. She is the best choice for the Democratic Party as it tries to regain the White House.

Well, Pulitzer Prize and Nobel Prize winning author Toni Morrison, who first referred to Bill Clinton as the first black president, is supporting Obama. She wrote him a beautiful lesson lauding his integrity and wisdom. She said knowledge is something that can be gained, but you either have wisdom or you don't. I couldn't have said it better. Hillary and Bill, who I previously liked, have been extremely condescending and by their marginalizing Obama as the "black candidate" who can't win with white voters, at the very least using race to win at all costs. A. Maya Angelou (check the spelling no "s") is a poet, not an actress. She has made some film and television appearances, but she has won critical acclaim for her writings.
B. Hillary Clinton should be ashamed of herself for claiming to have 35 years of experience (and you should be ashamed for repeating it) She's been a Senator for approximately 8 years… do the math. She was not an elected official before then… and has been unsuccessful in making any positive change either as the first lady or as NY senator.
C. The Clintons and Bushs are the crime families of Washington DC… check the facts. It's amazing that these people are not behind bars.
