I heard this song at work, and I loved it. But I did not know who sang it at first. Leona has a great voice, its kinda reminscent of Christina. Video is kinda blah… but the song is amazing.

POSSIBLE EXPLANATION OF WHY THIS VIDEO WAS RE-SHOT:
The UK, along with many other countries in the world, use a different color encoding system than the US, Canada and Japan for television. PAL is the standard in Europe while NTSC is the standard in the US, Canda, and Japan; thusly, when British television is shown in the US, it doesn't appear the way it does in Britain and vice versa. Usually, European TV looks kind of "dirty" (for lack of a better word) when it is converted to NTSC, and when I was in Britain, American tv looked like it was sped up.
It is possible that this video was re-shot because it wouldn't look the same when converted to NTSC for US audiences. So, it's very probable that this wasn't just a "we need to be different than the UK" thing, but more of a technical thing.
But what do I know? I'm just a stupid American.

I'm from the US…and this version is ass. The UK version was beautiful. In this one, she's ….in Times Square….who cares? But I did see it as maybe her way of saying ”ohhhhhhh shit, America, here I come”

Watch Leona sing the song live on youtube, hard to believe but she is better live than on the recorded track.
So So dissapointed … I don’t know, maybe with all the hype I was just expecting a really spectacular video, and this just doesn’t deliver.
The original video is so much better for so many different reasons, the climax being the main one; it works so well in the original video, and in this version there just doesn’t feel as though there is one. You know what they say “if ain’t broke - don’t fix it” !!
That said I do like the very final scene where there are pictures of her plastered everywhere and she does look stunning in the close up scenes. Perhaps it is more suited to an American audience, I don’t know.
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see !!

Love Leona…Purchased her album Spirit on Amazon before Christmas and fell in love with her. Her voice is amazing. Bleeding Love is such a good song, but in my opinion, the UK video verson was much better…

i really liked this song but i would tell any americans reading this not to bother with her album it is DULL, endless samey samey, over emotional ballards. a shame cos she's really pretty and has a great voice.

Especially because it featured that stunning silver Dolce and Gabbana dress (that Beyonce ruined), and I thought the overall shots and building scenes were more high fashion. She's a very pretty girl, but I don't think she will be as successful in the US as some people predict. I give her two years tops before she packs up and goes back home–no one even knows who she is.
Without a doubt she is very talented, but the pop/rnb market is already saturated with women who sing better than Leona (and who also dance). I really hope she does well but it won't be easy…she has to compete with Rihanna, Fergie, Xtina, Beyonce, Mariah (who also has a new CD coming out), Keri Hilson (new CD coming out soon), Nicole Scherzinger (new CD), Keyshia Cole…need I go on? Plus she has very little crossover appeal. Bleeding Love is boring and sounds like the other crap that is on the radio right now. Good Luck, Leona!! You are going to need it.
VH1 showed the other version (not the U.S. version) on their morning music videos a few months ago…I don't like the U.S. version.
