Hillary Wins Florida!

Filed under: Politik > Barack Obama > Hillary Clinton

2008_01_29t163054_450x335_us_usa_politics_obama.jpg

Hillary Clinton easily took home Florida on Tuesday night, beating Democratic rival Barack Obama by a convincing margin in the state's presidential primary. Unfortunately for her, she didn't win any delegates.

On the other side, John McCain and Mitt Romney were neck and neck with McCain barely taking the win, but he came out on top in the Republican primary.

Poor Rudy Giuliani lagged behind both frontrunners, after foolishly laying all his eggs in one basket and ignoring all the earlier states that held their primaries to focus on Florida. He will likely drop out of the race tomorrow.

If the BITCH were to become President (God forbid), can you imagine how she would deal with a terrorist attack ???
It would be, "Please don't do that. We do not like that".
The United States will become WEAK. Terrorist attacks will become the norm. Since they will not be punished, it will become a field day for them.
Same goes for Barack HUSEIN Obama.
"Please don't hit us. We do not like that ."

Perez are you a complete moron?! How dare you put this post up when it is entirely UNTRUE and FACTLESS. You know people go to your website daily and to see this misinformed BULLSHIT on here is just WRONG. I'm not even going to say why this is all bullshit because your SMART readers have already stated the case. I just wanted to say that I think you're a bastard for even putting this PROPAGANDA up here for people to actually buy into. I hope you can sleep at night.

Besides the fact the delegates will not count within Florida since the state moved up it's primary, it's a closed primary. Voters like me who were unable to change their party in time for this election were forced to vote Republican. Better yet, anyone not registered to Dem or Rep parties weren't able to vote. We've seen in Iowa how independents can sway the vote. It's a shame not all voices are being heard.

Unbelievable that anyone would vote for that power hungry hag who hates the military and thinks the government is the answer to everything….scary…who are you people that will vote for one of the most corrupted politicians in america? Whitewater mean anything to you?

  9. obaminator says – reply to this

    709

Perez you are misrepresenting. All of the candidates pledged not to compete there. This is not a technical 'win' although Hil and apparently YOU will spin it as such. Check the delegate count. Of course Hil wins states where no one campaigns by name recognition alone. Once people get to know Obama, he gains a lot more support.

  10. Lori says – reply to this

    710

THERE WAS AN AGREEMENT FOR DEMS NOT TO CAMPAIGN THERE!!! SHE BROKE THE AGREEMENT AND DID IT ANYWAY!!!!!

Come on Perez, don't support her backstabbing ways!

Hillary won both Michigan and Florida. Regardless of those states having delegates it shows she has more support on a state to state level. In fact, she has won Nevada, NewHampshire, Michigan, and Florida. Barack has won Iowa, and SouthCarolina.

  25. seattle says – reply to this

    725

Btw, Hillary is ahead in the delegate count. 249 to baracks 181.
Just as McCain has 93 to mitt romney's 59.

As a voter in Florida, I don't agree with the DNC's decision, but I do care about the election and the credibility of the eventual nominee for president. In the best of circumstances, the DNC would have opted to enact different sanctions against the FL and MI delegations; but, they did not. Now the Clintons want to reverse her agreement when it benefits her. I get it, and so do many other voters. I find Clinton's tactics to be disingenuous and cynical.

What do you think will happen to the democratic electorate if they believe that the DNC caved into the Clinton bully tactics and essentially give a sizable number of delegates to Clinton — possibly leading to her nomination? How many potential voters will place their votes elsewhere or elect to abstain from voting altogether?

How many voters will feel disenfranchised IN THE GENERAL ELECTION by the actions of the DNC and the Clintons through such a decision — and how will that impact their willingness to support the Democratic nominee?

Many democratic voters are already calling for a boycott of the November elections if Billary bullies their way to the nomination.

I dont think it is unfortunate for her at all. Hillary Clinton is at it again. She is now sure that she will be able to convince the Democratic Party to count the delegate votes in Florida. It is such bullshit - she can't change the rules in the middle of the game. She was the only candidate that campaigned in Florida so of course she is going to win! This is a cheap trick for Clinton to kill Barack's momentum out of South Carolina. The Florida democrats went against the direction of the DEMOCRATIC PARTY and moved their primaries up when they were told NOT TO. They were distinctly told if you move your primary up you wont have delegates present at the convention.

    733

This is really stupid. Florida had all of its delegates pulled for moving its primary up a week, and all of the candidates signed a pledge not to campaign there (Hillary was the only one that violated it). She got by on name recognition and dirty campaign tactics.

  34. Oh Noooooo!! says – reply to this

    734

    Re: One issue,

Thank you for that! I'm waiting for someone ANYONE with the DNC to call her out on the shit she pulled in Florida. Politics at its worst. The Clintons = Bush Cheney all over again. A great big political machine. Wake up people! It'll be a LONG eight years!

    735

Every candidate was on the ballot in florida you fucking moron. Maybe you are thinking of Michigan….or maybe you just have no clue what you are talking about. The delegates are not going to be seated as of now but i would be surised if that lasts. Hillary did not campaign in Florida as per her agreement with the other candidates. She did go down to Florida and thank her supporters AFTER THE POLLS WERE CLOSED.

    738

Hillary didn't "win" a darn thing in Florida. The nominees were not allowed to campaign in the the state. Hello, no delegates, no one campaigned-no win, nothing. This was a waste of time and money for people to go out to vote. Hillary broke ranks and put her name on the ballot. She went to Florida to "thank" people for their votes. Otherwise, she wasn't supposed to be there as it broke the rules. But everyone knows, the rules don't apply to the clintons.

Re: HILL FAN – I was not commenting on Obama at all in my post as I am not familiar with Mr. Obama's record. I am familiar with Ms. Clinton's record though. The focus of my post is Mrs. Clinton and the fact that she has accomplished nothing in the State of New York over the last 8 years. Perhaps the press should focus on that & perhaps the press should examine how Ms. Clinton courts various groups, i.e., minorities, gays and other special interest groups in an effort to further her own career goals and then once in office abandons them. Ms. Clinton has not achieved anything notable in the State of New York that anyone can point out.
