He had problems, but guess what? many people did and still do. He was working hard to stay sober, and everyone who was with him over the holidays confirmed it. It is just plain WRONG to do this. No one would want to see a video of their family member on drugs after they are dead with no way to defend themselves!

Not only have they sunk lower in my estimation by making Adnan's pockets deeper with cash, but now they're trying to exploit the very personal issues of this young man, father to little Matilda, who is no longer with us. Why is anyone surprised that multiple media outlets are reporting on the DEATH of an extremely popular actor? This is probably the first TRULY significant thing to happen in that industry in years. I know death is a horribly sensitive topic… but this is just one of the many drawbacks to subjecting yourself to fame and notoriety. People care about this and want to know about it. It's shallow and stupid to read about Tara Reid's boobs. It's important to know why a young dude would die like this. Even if it's damaging to his repuation. He had the cards on that one.
LESSON #1: don't do reportable things if you don't want to be reported on. Take a cue from Rachel McAdams. Whatever that girl is doing, we're not finding out about it. She's a smart girl. Doing drugs until you die is the easiest way to get attention and you crazies are acting like it's absurd that people are talking about it and analyzing it.
I feel terrible for his family. He has passed and they didn't make a big show about it, they didn't go on TV and exploit his celebrity. Michelle hasn't been out on the streets screaming and making a fool of herself just for the attention. Let the family deal. Why does it matter that that 2 years ago he did drugs. I think people need to leave it alone. People are way too into celebs personal lives. I know they choose to be out in the publics eye, but somethings just need to be kept private.His family and friends should really be kept in mind. Most importantly is his daughter. I fear that one day she'll be researching her dad and come across these horrible things said about her father.

no matter what "potential" he had as an actor/father/human being, as soon as he gave his soul over to drugs he became just another junkie.

Heath was a loser. A great actor, but like many people, didn't work on his personality a lot. He figured drugs would replace a personality, much like any addicted person does.
In the end, he chose this path. Nobody made him do it. Other people cope with pressure, fine. It's an excuse, old and well worn.
