We've gotten a very stern letter from the lawyers for Entertainment Tonight and The Insider, who will be broadcasting the vid.
It reads:

In the midst of rumors Michelle Williams once forced her ex-boyfriend, Heath Ledger, to seek rehab for a drug and alcohol addiction, the actress' publicist is fighting back.
"Much of the tabloid reporting is inaccurate," Mara Buxbaum tells CelebTV.com. "This fabricated story of Michelle Williams attempting to bring Heath Ledger to rehab is just one lie among many. The speculation is heinous. Let this family grieve privately."
Heath Ledger's battle with alcohol and drugs was so risky to his relationship with Michelle Williams in 2006 that she drove him to rehab, Us magazine reports.
For three years, Williams was a firsthand witness to the Brokeback Mountain star's use of alcohol and drugs, including cocaine, heroin and "a variety of pills," a Ledger confidant told the magazine.
In 2006 when their daughter Matilda was only five months old, Williams drove Ledger to Promises Treatment Center in Malibu, Calif., the source told Us magazine.
Ledger did not check in to the facility, though; instead, he was able to convince Williams he would clean up, according to the magazine.
The couple split in September 2007, and two sources told Us magazine that Williams demanded Ledger be drug-tested before his visitations with Matilda.

The thing that bugs to so much is this happened in his past, leave it be. Really people have done worse, people drink, people do drugs, sometimes you make bad choices and they can comeback to haunt you but the thing that kills me is it was two years ago. Not the night before his passing . Leave it -why do people have to be so interested in what he did two years ago. I think that it's completely appalling that ET/The Insider would even consider showing this video. That is the reason why I oppted out of majoring in Broadcast Journalism last year…I would never think to report on something so incredibely invasive …especially when it has to do with someone who has passed away. It's pathetic that they would air this video…they are inevitabely doing it in order to get ratings. I look down on the ET and The Insider; they are putting something out into the airwaves that is going to hurt Heath's family, friends, Michelle, and inevitabely little Matilda. It's pathetic.

It's bad enough that so many of these media outlets exist by feeding off of the private lives of the rich and famous, however, to send out a warning claiming "rights" to a video of a barely dead PERSON is completely disgusting and morally lacking. I always watch ET, but I'm not going to tonight or possibly ever again until all of this blows over because seriously, let him be known and respected for all of his positive qualities. If he did drugs in 2006, that was a whole year before his passing and shouldn't matter anymore. Until someone tells me that they found hard drugs in his system, I'm not going to believe any of this stuff. Keep in mind, he was also in the film "Candy", where he played a drug addict. If the video is real and shows him surrounded by drugs, I want to see him actually doing something instead of just him being around them. He said in an interview around the time of that film's release that he had friends who were heavily into drugs that he got close to while filming so he could gain insight into what their lives were like. I really, really don't think he would've needed to do that if he was already a drug user. Just my opinion, of course.
