Entertainment Tonight and The Insider have changed their min - aka caved under pressure.
The celeb news shows have now decided NOT to broadcast the shocking drug video of Heath Ledger they purchased for several hundred thousand dollars.
"Out of respect for HEATH LEDGER's family, "Entertainment Tonight" and "The Insider" have decided not to run the Heath Ledger video which has been circulating in the world media," they said in a statement.
They forgot to mention that they already aired a long teaser of the drug vid on their Wednesday night show and millions of people saw bits of the footage as a result.

So what if he liked pot. I LOVE POT. This just makes me like him even more.. that he was a normal chill guy smoking a few blunts with some fans .. He probably saw them at the pool sparked up a convo and they were probs like omg let's totally invite him back to our room and video tape it! And it worked.. he probably needed some weed and went a long with it.. He seems real cool.. not one of lindsay lohan's of hollywood who thought there shit didn't stink.. love him..rest in peace buddy!! i'll smoke in honor of you!! and hey he probs was cutting his habits once the baby was born..that's why he said my girlfriend is guna give me so much shit for this!!
TOTALLY AGREE WITH COMMENT #205… This guy was a "normal" 20-something guy in regards to partaking in some weed smoking and occassionally something a bit heavier. ESPECIALLY considering he grew up in Australia and then with the whole Hollywood transition. He had money and a LAIDBACK weed-smoking lifestyle, he was intelligent and talented. He wasn't effed up from his weed habit, he was effed up from taking it to far with other things, if that's even true. Look at how many amazing, good-hearted celebrities smoke a lot of weed: jack johnson, dave matthews, matthew mcconaughey, cameron diaz, johnny depp, ETC.! I love every one of them and the thing is they are all intelligent enough to know how to handle it and to know when they've gone too far. Possibly, unfortunately, heath went too far, but he was intelligent enough to realize that and he surrounded himself only closely with people who realized that too. I think if he would've lived, he and Michelle would've gotten back together eventually b/c he would've cleaned up his bad habits and he would've still smoked a joint every now and then and they prolly woulda smoked it together… There's a lot we can speculate, but i guarantee you she didn't dump the guy over pot–a naturally-growing herb with minor side effects…remember no one EVER died from smoking pot, all autopsies have always turned up other, more dangerous, man-made drugs in their systems… phew, i rest my case.

HE MADE A CONCIENCE DECISION TO DO WHAT HE DID! HE WAS TAPED- AND NOW ITS EXPOSED!! WHEN ARE THESES CELEBS GOING TO LEARN- CAMERA PHONES ARE EVERYWHERE- (HEAR THAT WINEHOUSE). IF YOU DON'T WANT ANYONE TO SEE IT , DON'T DO IT…. IT'S CALLED SELF PRESERVATION!!!!!!
Why pull the video? Is it too much to ask for the media to show us all sides of drug use?? We've spent the last year watching celebrities get off scott free, maintain their careers, and in some cases, get MORE media attention because of their drug use. We see all these "hot" actors/actresses…people we admire, doing drugs with very little consequence. Maybe it's time for us to see that doing drugs is not cool; it's deadly. I admire Heath Ledger for the great talent that he was. We should continue to admire his work but also to learn from his mistakes.
It was also said that it showed him drinkin beer and rolling a cigarette paper and that was it. It didnt show his actually doing drugs!!!!That is on CNN website.
as someone who had the privilege of knowing heath and knowing what a decent, kind, down to earth person he was, i am totally disgusted that a. someone was secretly taping him at this after-party and b. that would disrespect his memory by selling it for their own profit…karma will come back to you, you selfish S.O.B.

They should'nt have done it at all. Whats in the past is just that in the past and doesnt really matter anymore. All that matters is that he is now gone and his family should be left alone to grieve in peace. I think that is disrespectful to the deceased when they do things like this because they are no longer here to defend themselves, they did the same thing to Anna Nicole after she passed.
Well I'm glad there not going to show the video. Let Heath rest in peace and let his family grieve. What is wrong with the people that want to show it? Yes, he did drugs and smoked GET OVER IT. A lot of people in hollywood do that or did that. But he is dead and that's all you can talk about? Have some fucking respect.

Why shouldn't they show it? If anything it could stop other people from following the same path. He was a public figure, he got caught on tape, i wouldn't blame any media outlet for showing it.

Heath's memory on the big screen will out way of the media stating the drug use etc. Heath led a good life doing what he wanted holding on and living his dreams. The media has nothing else to do but post crap on an actor after he is gone. God Bless Heath and his family and loved ones. Rest in peace Heath you were loved by more than you knew
