Men like Wilson and Ledger, whose problems may not be as publicly well-known, are protected by phrases such as “exhaustion” and “stress” and “emotional problems.” Addiction is either sensationalized or swept under the proverbial rug. We look the other way, publicly ridicule, or completely abandon the afflicted. It is not an issue that the media or its consumers seem willing to tackle with any real honesty or compassion.
Is it wrong to suggest that Ledger had a problem with drugs? No, given his age, lifestyle, and the details surrounding his passing. Do we need invasive evidence to confirm what the ramifications of those problems may have been? No. The tragic death of a 28-year-old father makes enough of a statement on its own.
Like we are supposed to believe this shit is real. It may be real but most of the tabloids stretch things or lie. How do we know this tape wasn't made. Re: matthew – Actually when this was shot he would've been 6 when he became a pothead at least per that quote. It seems more likely he was exaggerating for effect. At least that was my impression. People do that sometimes when they want to appear cool…although I don't see how saying you used to be a pothead would really impress someone doing a line of coke … If anything that sounded like fairly amateurish thing to say which kind of surprised me the most - I figure most people in Hollywood would have been exposed to enough & I don't know not think saying something that lame made them sound cool or like a partier in front of people doing coke…just sounded weird. You can't calculate the risk of drugs at all.
You know where your food comes from and that there's 0.0006% chance that it will be poisoned or something like that. It's regulated. Illegal drugs are not, and god knows who you get it from and what the fuck is in it.
You don't go and buy bread or something to find out it's really a bunch of sand pressed together. AND if you do, you sue their ass for it!
You drive, but if someone is coming towards you, you can swerve, if a drug is changing your heart rate you can't do anything to stop it.

this particular video is especially difficult to base any sort of opinion on. in the first place, it occured two years ago so its relevance (despite the fact that our trusty celebrity rehab friend says it could mean serious problems) is debatable. second of all, which the celeb rehab expert also said, is that perhaps it can serve as some sort of warning sign for people that are getting into the drug scene, but that is really such a bullshit excuse for simply wanting to air it.
heath's death is tragic, it is sad, and it should be treated as any normal person's death would be treated- with care and respect and his family should be given the chance to mourn something that happened so suddenly. death is never easy, but when it happens so out of the blue, it is even more difficult.
this video serves no purpose in my mind seeing as how the majority of the population in america has been present in a room where coccaine was being used, and that same majority has probably dabbled with it themselves. it's exploitive to air this now, it is disrespectful, and it is really pathetic. without substantial results from the exams that they are doing now, it is really impossible and cocky of us to jump to conclusions about his life.

The only reason anyone on here is making such a big deal out of this is because he is dead. Has anyone ever noticed how little he was talked about until he died? I love his movies but I'm apparently one of the few persons here who is trying to be realistic and saying that the dead celebrity syndrome has taken affect. A few years ago Pauly Shore made a film called "Pauly Shore is Dead". He made this to prove a point that people care a whole lot more about a celebrity if they are dead rather than alive. How many people can honestly say they love Pauly Shore? Probably about 15. If Heath Ledger was alive and this video was released I bet at least half of you guys wouldn't even think twice about it or you would watch it and go "I can't believe he would do this" and disgrace him. After looking at previous clips about Heath on this site before his death, I found exactly what I was looking for. People were talking shit on Heath Ledger and bashing him. I bet that the same person who said his receding hairline was from guys pulling on it during gay sex has commented on this video saying how horrible Perez Hilton is.
People do drugs. Get over it. Don't act like celebrities don't know that things like this aren't coming. That is the price they pay. Sure Heath Ledger may not deserve to be disgraced but for every one of you who CLAIMS they didn't watch it, there are about 200 people who do watch it I bet.

also you must be on drugs right now if you are seriously claiming drugs are the norm. Yes, maybe where you live (and where I live actually) but not THE MAJORITY.
For a start, there are unbelievable amounts of religious people in America (and elsewhere) who would not even consider the idea of drugs, let alone do it.
Between all the people who are too scared, too ill, too….goody? too …sensible? too old, too young, not interested, get drug tested, etc etc.
