One Was Bad Enough!
Filed under: Film FlickersWith the success of Cloverfield's opening weekend, bringing in over $46 million, Paramount is planning to create a sequel to the film that made many people upset.
With all the complaints moviegoers had and refunds they requested (because the movie made them so sick), will the sequel make as much money?
Don't think we'd pay for another couple of hours of nausea!
Will U go watch it?

4 of us attempted to watch this awful movie, after 45 min. we left and 3 of us were tossing our cookies by the time we got home. We couldn't even get our money back even if we tried because the warning sign at the ticket counter. Brillant stragedy.
Hell yea Im gonna watch it!!!
Fuck no I will not go waste my time and money to watch that piece of a shit movie!!!! It fucken suck!!!!!
Re: Mavi – ooo arent YOU cool.
HELLS YEAH ILL SEE ANOTHER. IT WAS AMAZING. I LOVED THE VIRAL MARKETING. CANT WAIT.

HELL YEAH I WOULD!!!!!! CLOVERFIELD IS THE BEST HORROR FLICK IN YEARS!
um…. let me think about that…….
Yea im gonna have to go with NO!!!!!!!
1st was al….right…..
a 2nd one would just kill it.
HELL YEAH IM SEEING PART 2 !!!! people are so stupid. they can watch celebrity sex tapes done in night vision or with camera phones but they cant stand to watch a new american classic good ole monster flick because it has dizzy camera shots. assholes .
I totally would go!
OMG! I HAVE NEVER FELT SO SICK AND NAUSEATED AFTER WATCHING A MOVIE! I FUCKING HATED IT! I WOULDN'T WATCH THE SEQUEL IF YOU PAID ME.
PFFT you guys are such whino's! The sequel is going to be the shit! I can't wait!!!!! ^_^
Re: Damien – i agree wholeheartedly lol
the movie made me have a huge head ache, and had nausea that evening! HOWEVER, if they do make a new one, i will def go. (but…. with advil in my bag)
I really enjoyed the first one. I'd go see another.
i'd be first in line to see it. i want to marry JJ Abrams mind and have babies with it. he's brilliant and i loved this movie.
Made People Sick? I get motion sickness and that movie didn't make me sick. I freakin loved it. Hell Yeahs I will go see Number Two!!!
Def, If you cant handle watching a movie then your old ass' dont need to be watching them anyway!
Me and my kids will be first in line. We loved this movie!!! It was so much fun.
Why did it make people sick?
Dude the movie was AWESOME!!!! Hell yeah I'll see the 2nd one
definitely!!!!!!!
I'll go watch it IF they use a steady cam. I left that first one feeling so sick. Luckily I was fine, just dizzy and nauseous, I do know of one guy who puked though.
when i went to see it, it seemed to me that people either loved it or hated it. those who hated it were definitely the over-30 crowd. the 20 year-olds, and surprisingly the critics, thought it was great. it seems perez was not it that latter group, but to say only that it made many people upset and mentioning ALL the complaints moviegoers had without saying it was a commercial AND critical success is a little one-sided.
I totally LOVED the movie!! I was hoping they would make a sequel so this is awesome!!
yes!!! the first one was awesome!!! i dont care what anyone says!! AWESOME!!!!!
Dude okay, so cloverfield was sick. I didn't feel sick at ALL and i often feel nautious. It was definetly good, but far too short, which is why it might be a good idea to make a sequel. everyone who wanted a refurnd because it made them sick is just a cheap pussy. simple as that.
I have never left a movie before with the biggest headache and nausea.
Seriously, the only reason this movie made it big was because of the advertisements for it. Biggest blunder
I'd go! I loved the movie!!!
Worst movie ever.. hated it.. Absolutely horrible.
HELL YEAH!!!!!
The first movie was F'IN INCREDIBLE!!!!!
I loved it.
Can't Wait!!!!!
TWEENS- this describes the demographic that cloverfield is after. When we went: 1 30 female, 34 male, we could barely watch the movie due to chit chat around us> I love LOST, but this kind of thing makes me want to vote republican
I loved it…will def go see the second one!
Hell yeah! Cloverfield was great, totally different from mainstream. I didnt have any nausea problems at all. The movie was great and you people who crave an "ending" really need to think outside the box for once. The movie raised a lot of questions and was a great topic to discuss with my friends after.
F*&% no!!! That movie made me sooooo sick!!!! I got my money back and have been telling people not to go see it!!!
Um, hate to rain on this and all, but Monstrous was the original name of Cloverfield. They ran a series of 1000 movie posters and tested them with a focus group and it was determined that the name sucked. Some smart marketer turned the mistae into a concept by running a series of posters including "Monstrous," "Terrifying," "Scary," etc. While I'm not ruling out a sequel, this, my friends, is not it.
I worked at a theater when Blair Witch came out and I MUST say….you've heard the reviews, so don't go see the damn movie if you have even SLIGHT motion sickness. You'll save yourself AND the theater employees a lot of disgusting drama.
of course! The first one was brilliant and a kick in the pants that the monster movie genre needed!
Fuck yes I will! That movie was freakin' awesome! People who were "made sick" by it were either:
a) epileptic
or
b) fussy pussies.
For sure!!! I wanna know how it all ended!!!
I think I will cause I really liked the first one, but I'll mostly see the second one so I can get answers since the first one gave NONE.
Wooohooo
We will definitely go!
Yeah, I liked it!
Hell yeah! aha
hell fucking no i was so excited about this movie and i was dissapointed in the worst way possible
Prob will.. the movie made me sick @ 1st but it got better.. I HIGHLY doubt it'll make as much money tho!!! PPl learned their lesson the 1st time
I LOVED every MOment of it!!
Bring back new kids on the block too!
Monsters rule!
I LOVED every MOment of it!!
Bring back new kids on the block too!
Monsters rule!
That was an amazing movie! I can't wait for #2.
i am so there.
helllll no!!
I would go see the 2nd one only because the 1st one didn't really explain to us what Cloverfield was or where it came from. I feel like it was shot the perfect way because it was somewhat believeable… or as believebale as possible.
f u Re: Fabulous New Yorker –
YES
HELL NO!!!!! And I want a refund from the first one. This movie was truly crappy!!!!!
I actually went to see the movie and 15 minutes in had to leave for fear I would throw up. At least 2 other couples ended up leaving the theatre. Each one looking sicker than the last. One girl had to stop half way through the theatre to compose her self and try to talk her self out of being ill.
hell yeah! stop being such a pussy perez! if it was a dirty ass gay porno shot like that im sure you would be on board for the sequel, douche.
HUCKABEE 2008!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
WHAT?! YOU GOT MOTION SICKNESS.
MAYBE ALL OF U WHO DID SHOULD DIE(NATURAL SELECTION)
I DIDNT GET MOTION SICKNESS………I ROCK!
I will totally go see it. I saw Cloverfield yesterday and it has quickly become one of my all time favs! CAN'T WAIT for the sequel!!!!!

It was awesome, i found it to be good.
OMG YES! I FUCKING LOVED THE FIRST ONE! LOL IM SO EXCITED!!!!!! YAY!
Hell Yes!! i would see it no questions asked
wow, people are weaklings! i've seen Cloverfield twice now and had no probs whatsoever. of course i'll see the sequel, if the same writers are on board.
Ummm I rather watch godzilla reruns lol so nah I wouldn't watch it
Within 45 minutes- I was in the bathrom throwing up. Was a good movie. Wish it wasn't on a camcorder
I WILL TOTALLY GO!
I MEAN, COME ON! IT'S FROM JJ ABRAHAMS! GO LOST!
heck no that movie was lame
man i loved that movie it was so scary. and the monster was so big and scary.so what if some people dont like it i loved it. i didnt make me sick. it was scary but i still liked it
Fuck no I had to leave first 20 minutes gave me such bad nausea
HELL FUCKIN YES
cloverfield was garbage
why didn't that one girl die.. the one with the pole through her heart
oh yeah….there better be some answers in this one
that film was AMAZING! IDK how anyone can say it was bad. I get motion sickness on mary go rounds, and i didn't feel queezy at this at all. People need to suck it up. I'lll def be there.
that was the dumbest movie ever y would they make a 2nd one???sooooo dumb!!!
umm cloverfield was amazing all those fuckers with motion sickness can get over it!! CLOVERFIELD 2!
I thought that the way that they decided to film it was quite artistic, albeit a little annoying. I honestly don't understand how it could make anyone feel sick, though. It wasn't that bad. Seriously. Besides, the theater that I went to even had a warning sign posted saying that the film could cause some people to have motion sickness. I just thought that they had to have that posted so that stupid people wouldn't complain (you know, like when they have to put warning labels on hair dryers telling you to not use it while in the shower). Anyway, if you did experience motion sickness, it's your own damn fault for deciding to go watch it. I swear, after reading so many of these whiny and bitchy complaints, I'm all for Social Darwinism.
i will go see it whoever says that it made them want to throw-up is stupid there just drama queens it was not as bad as people made it out to be.
before i saw this movie i had dinner with my bf. mid way into the movie i started to feel sick…by the end of the movie i was running out of there. lucky for me i live 10 minutes away from the movie theater and when i got home i puked. there is no way in hell im going to see the second one.
The first one was irritating and slow not to mention it made me sick! What happened to the monster? all I saw was a couple boring!!! PLEASE SPARE US OF ANOTHER MOVIE! If they are going to make another one just kill the couple in the begining and save us the money!
everyone that complains about getting sick are lame pussies…it wasnt moving that friggin much..seriously…I liked the movie for what it was….a character driven giant monster attacks city flick…I mean…everyone knew it was a hand held cam…what did people expect?? i
Totally! The first one was a rollercoaster - and I want to know MORE!
That movie was so awesome!
Omg totally im already there.
Nooo Way, i shouldn´t go to watch a s… like this. usa open your mind !
The concept of the movie was easy to get wrapped up in. It almost seemed realist. Even though I moderately liked the film I did have to stop watching from time to time and would probably not watch the sequel if filmed in the same manner.
i will go see it not cause i liked the movie at all but because i just want to find out what happens… but it was a horrible movie
What about I saw just 10 minutes of the movie and I walked out it was the biggest piece of crap ever. They can get the sequel and stick it up there assssss.
Uhh most likely not, unless i was heavily sedated with dramamine, but for some reason i dont think even that would help.
YES
YEAH i almost barfed in the first one, but i LOVED it! :]]
so i CANT WAIT TILL #2
You kids can be so cynical and short-sighted.
It was a fantastic concept: certainly comparable to Blair Witch, but mostly I compared it to the '38 CBS broadcast of War of the Worlds. I have read that if a sequel was to happen it'd be the same attack from a different POV; not trying to brag for a movie that it's an original idea–just fun yet interesting entertainment.
I wish I lived in NY, just the number of movies in the last 10 years that decimated Times Square! There will never be a movie made about San Antonio and the destruction of the Tower of Americas or Durty Nelly's!
I was so sick when I watched that movie. I wanted to leave not 5 minutes into the movie. I didn't get to watch any of it because I had to have my eyes closed. Even then just the spinning of the only light in the theater made me sick. The first and only movie I have ever walked out of.
YEP! As long as it wasn't filmed like the first one. I wanna know more about that heinous creature!
