With the success of Cloverfield's opening weekend, bringing in over $46 million, Paramount is planning to create a sequel to the film that made many people upset.
With all the complaints moviegoers had and refunds they requested (because the movie made them so sick), will the sequel make as much money?
Don't think we'd pay for another couple of hours of nausea!

I can't go see it. I literally wanted to throw up…Even if the camera wasn't shaking the movie still would have sucked.
I definitly will I didnt think the movie was bad at all. Nothing Like that God foresaken Blair Witch Project that just gave me a headache after watching two minutes and talk about boring!
ummm CLOVERFIELD was the shit! it didn't make me sick. it was an awesome movie, and i think a sequel, done cleverly and intelligently, could really be a great thing to see.

This movie sucked ass hard! I went in expecting a great monster flick but instead got a bunch of stupid fuck dumb ass college jack fucks dealing with their own shit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WTF??!!! This movie should have focused more on the creature ripping the city apart…not the lives of this idiot ass 20 something on the search for some boney ass ho bag he used to fuck that is hurt in her Manhattan apartment. Bottom line….the movie could have been great…but once again Hollywood ruins the story line by focusing on these dumb fuck college kids! How I miss the days of true horror films! So sad that there are no longer great horror films like The Shining..Elm Street..The Howling..Halloween.etc.. Hollywood just rehashes everything over and over again with slut and jock 20 somethings…so sad!

I will definitely be going to see this film. I really enjoyed Cloverfield. People complain about the way they shot it and all that junk. If you can get past that and actually watch the movie, it is quite good. He did an amazing job with this movie. You need to pay attention at the end. A lot of people were disappointed with that. Also when you think about it. If the movie had been shot with a regular camera and you would have known EVERYTHING about this monster and you would have seen it completely than it wouldn't be that great. It wouldnt keep you interested. Just because you dont know every single detail, you're mad. If they had shown you everything and had given you all the tiny details about how this creature came to be, than it would be like any other alien flick. Junk. I think people just need to learn to appreciate good movies. I'm sure half the people who said they didn't like it ended up going to see Meet the Spartans and thought it was a fantastic movie. Now THAT is Junk. No offense. I'll take a movie that keeps me thinking and on my toes to a movie that makes fun of great movies. Just my opinion
It was good. I did have a migraine the rest of the day though. And I highly doubt that the sequel would be filmed in the same way. I'm betting it's going to be about survivors and what the thing actually was, etc. I'd see it for sure. Don't be a wuss.
i think this movie was really good, but i will admit after watching it i felt as if i just got off a boat. i was very sick at my stomach and since it was so full i had to sit in the very front and i never do that even when its a steady shot movie. next movie needs to be a real camera man.

The movie also has 4 mangas that will be released as prequels, explaing what took place before the movie, focsuing on the people who were on the oil tanker. J.J. Abrmas has also stated that if a sequel is to be made, he doesn't want it to be a cash cow, so he's going to take sometime to plan out the story. Either showing other videos of what happened that night, picking up were it left off, since we don't know how it actually ended, or explaining what actually happened that night without the home movie aspect. So many options. Why don't we allow the movie to be fucking made before you poo poo all over it. Shesus Christ.

You can hear the main character mumble "help" just before they switched to the video of their day at Coney Island, plus I've heard you get a glimpse of the monster coming out of the water in one of the last frames of the Coney Island scene….I knew there'd be a sequel, HELL YES, I'll go see it! I had a terrible headache from all the jumpy camera work and vomitus rage when the movie finished…wait, what movie? There was barely a story line. I HATED Cloverfield 1 with a passion! I love to hate Cloverfield now. I have spread my message of hate all over town. With any luck, I can affect some opening day numbers when Clove 2 comes out. I need to feel some justice from being coned into seeing it. Thanks for the advance notice guys.
