The Hollywood community is still very upset at Entertainment Tonight and The Insider.
A behind-the-scenes campaign happened aggressively on Wednesday to pressure the shows not to broadcast that Heath Ledger video everyone was talking about.
Several top publicity companies threatened to never give the shows access to their star clients again. They caved.
However, we're told that many are still upset because ET and The Insider made it seem like Heath was doing drugs in the video.
He was not, a person who has seen the full clip tells us.
Additionally, when the shows aired a preview of the video, they showed a clip of Ledger saying, "I used to smoke five joints a day for 20 years."
However, what they didn't show you was that afterwards, he said , "and that's why I got this tattoo [an M, for daughter Matilda] to remind me never to smoke weed again."

seriously everyone is dumb to even want to see this video…seriously when it was made heath was what 25 or 26…he had not smoked pot for 20 years…i think he was trying to be funny with people who obviously had no idea who he was…..he would have been 5 0r 6 when he first smoked…hahahahaha…..and since when does pot kill you….whatever

Re: sick bastard – depression and insomnia will not kill you. they usually contribute to drug use and suicide and other issues, but those issues are the actual cause of death, not lack of sleep or depression. seriously, the most likely explaination for his death is an overdose (maybe accidental, maybe deliberate, who knows for sure?) of some type of drug (maybe legal, maybe not, again, who can know for sure?). but the thing is, overdose is not necessarily indicative of long term drug abuse. i'm from indiana, where meth is huge, and there have been high schoolers die from their very first "experiment" with the drug. in turn, long term drug use is not necessarily the cause of death of the user. i seriously doubt anyone on here actually knows what happened to him, but this IS a celeb gossip blog, so there will continue to be gossip and speculation about the celebrity in question. if you don't like, why are you on here reading the stories and the comments? are you trying to make yourself feel better about your own love of gossip by being holier than thou about it?
I think this sites needs to block/reject some blogs… its a gongshow.. mainly that oprah character and the people that use the n word..

I am disgusted by both of these shows trying to profit from the passing of such a remarkable human being. They SHOULD be ashamed and so shoud we if we continue to watch either one of them.

People said the same thing about him in the 60's and 70's that you are saying about Heath Ledger today. I am a film buff. I agree that James Dean and Montgomery Clift were great actors. Similarly, Heath Ledger is/was a method actor (one who must immerse himself/herself into the darkest and brightest corners of the character played - literally by feeling the emotions of that character). Brokeback mountain was tremendous, in that he played the role with such intensity. We are now told that he and Jake Gyllenhall are/were deeply connected (fell into a kind of love) as a result of this film. Jake Gyllenhall is reportedly inconsolable - as is Heath's girlfriend who played his wife in the same film. Also, his new role in the upcoming Batman film is going to blow people away. He reportedly went deep into the evil and vile side of that character. He may have killed himself by being such a great actor - if I may say it that way! James Dean was a rebel and a teen who drove fast and lived recklessly. He died in a tragic car accident due to speed and recklessness. Heath Ledger will become even greater as time passes. I am older, as I wrote, but I fell in love with him when I saw him on the screen. May the universe love his soul and help the rest of us understand why he moved on. PEACE

I should have stated that James Dean PLAYED teens who were rebels and drove fast and lived recklessly - AND - in his own life he was the same. He became the role he played to act more perfectly - that is "method" acting. I do love James Dean.

Maybe that's because she was a fame seeking whore and Heath tried as hard as he could to stay out of the limelight. He did not crave attention, he was never seen on tabloid covers, and he was never accused of anything scandalous UNTIL now. While Nicole whored herself out and married a rich man and get his money after he died. Heath did not do so and was a respected man. Nicole's action do not make her death any less tragic but do not constitute for sympathy.

All I can offer is that in heaven I believe addiction will no longer haunt us. I am sorry to the family, terribly sorry.
It makes me wonder why it hasn't happened to me. He's made something of his life, he has a kid. I've made nothing of mine, I aborted my own child because I was shooting up heavily and that came first.
I've made such a waste of my life with dope. I always thought if I had enough money and respect, things would be different. I always thought if I had enough dope, the conflicts between my significant other and I would be easy to handle.
Heath's death taught me that money cannot buy that which I seek, and that dope can't keep a broken heart taped together forever.

The Insider and Entertainment Tonight are the two most brutal shows on television. All they do is exploit Hollywood's tragedies just to gain a few viewers. It's disgusting how they both continue to rub salt in an open wound. Don't they understand what it's like for Michelle Williams and Heath Ledger's family right now?
