And their sound is very different from what's on radio right now!
Think Digable Planets. Think '90s. Think live band. Instruments. Sexy. Funky. Funk. Fun.
Their new single is called Everyone Nose, and it could be the theme song for Lindsay Lohan (pre and post-rehab too).
It'll be curious to see if the song gets played on the radio or not, but we're feeling it!

…i don't usually listen to this type of music (i guess you could say i'm more "indie rock" lol…that sounds so lame) but this actually isn't a bad song…good hook and beat and interesting instrumentation throughout…kind of chancy, but i think it paid off

This song is horrible. Pharell may be the hottest on this planet, but that song is like a cold dead fish.
First of all, I think N*E*R*D* is probably one of the most entertaining groups of the last ten years. I wouldn't compare this to Digable Planets as much as I would just say that it's "Experimental Neptunes." If you want to compare this to '90's maybe A Tribe Called Quest and The Pharcyde… but I think this is actually more forward thinking. Pharrell and Chad have never had a problem doing their own thing, and this is just almost a jam session or outtake of something that should never have gotten out. It's so weird, bad, funky, that it's genius. The music industry sucks right now, but there is a lot of good stuff out there– however, the stations and record companies will never promote music like this. Admittedly, it's hard to swallow, but the appetite for this kind of stuff is out here. We have to re-train kids of this generation to learn how to accept this music and they'd love it.

I love the song now, I love them and I've missed them. I love they way in which they speak of women, like "she wants to move" was sort of about allowing a woman to be free to no oppress her. There's a spirtuality in their music, that I can't shake. I can't wait to see the on tour again.
