As a Latin woman born and raised in Colombia, I believe Jessica Alba has no reason to be on the cover of any hispanic magazines. In every picture that's taken of her - you can tell how resentful she is at having to be or *act* nice. I'm from Albuquerque. Her taste in food is just as watered down as her taste in ethnicity and culture. Albuquerque (10 yrs ago) was voted to have more restaurants 'per capita' than any other city. Then it was Austin for a long time. The thing is - she's not going to stoop to go to non-corporate places where all the good food is. She's such a shit. Albuquerque is one of the oldest cities in the US and has loads of culture. But it's stuck in the middle of no where so it's got it's issues - what city doesn't? I think she sucks.

New Mexico is full of breath-taking landscapes. There may not be chic restaurants and $1200-an-item boutiques, but there are historic sites to visit, beauty to appreciate, and history to learn and yes, some of these places are in or around Albuquerque. Truly creative people would have taken out their cameras and made a photo shoot (not necessarily fashion, but could be - whereever your mind takes you) out of it, but not Ms. Alba. How could we expect her to? She doesn't have an artistic bone in her body - as evidenced by her crappy performances in her shit movies. QUE COMEMIERDA LA TIPA COÑO!!!

The very idea that Senorita Alba would bother to comment about Albuquerque is obsurd. She must learn that sugar will catch more flies than honey. Just because she is fighting a hispanic identity crisis doesn't mean that she should travel around the country speaking ill of places hard-working people love and call their home. Sure, Albuquerque has all the problems of a much larger city and few of the big city attractions…it is still lovely as it sits nestled in the base of the Sandia Mountains. There's approx. 300 days of sunshine and a whole bunch of open sky. Ms. Alba should take this opportunity to rise above her peers and personify her natural heritage. A simple boycott of her films would be a terrible thing to do, but I'm tired of "stars" biting the hand that feeds them. As for recreational drugs…well, Albq. being on Route 66 has always been known for its wild-west partying. There are a lot of people shot every year, but most of them deserve it.

Thats so amazingly true. We had to go to Albuquerque for a weekend last year to present our senior thesis and MY GOD - the food sucked, it was boring as hell and we were there during St. Patrick's Day. The food was especially, especially bad… We basically ate at one place for the whole weekend.
Talk about one hell of a trip.

I have lived in New Mexico all my life (35 years), and we never eat at Chilis or Applee bees, there are much finer restaurants in Albuqueruque, and historic Santa Fe. I lived in Albuquerque for a long time, and now live in Colorado but I make a point of going back there at least twice a year JUST for the food. There is no other Mexican food like it in the rest of the country. Also like someone else said the culture and diversity is also amazing. Someone said the people in Albuquerque are crazy which might be somewhat true, but that's just because the culture is 80% hispanic and we do have hot tempers. On that note, I would suggest that Jessica Alba stay away from Albuquerque after her comment. She won't be welcome, I can gaurantee that. Also, there are some of the coolest people I have ever met in Albuquerque. I would actually like to challenge PEREZ HILTON to spend a weekend in Albuquerque, and report honestly what he thought about the place. And don't forget to eat at Garduno's and El Pinto!

I've lived in ABQ for the last 10 years, moved from Austin TX. ABQ is awesome. If Jessica Alba knew what the hell she was talking about, she'd know that everyone from freakin' California is moving out here, jacking up the housing market. Why? Because it's awesome here! The sun shines almost every day, and that is no exaggeration. The Mexican food here is amazing! Best in the country. Of course I wouldn't expect her to know that, because she's "not Latina." Not to mention there is a HUGE film industry here, which will be great for the city.

Its beautiful,diverse,great food(has a lot of the same restraunts that the rest of the us has…plus amazing mexican(better then you can get anywhere else). And we have great stores…you have to know where to look. And to those of that said you stayed here for a few days and say there is nothing to do….then I guess you stayed in your freakin hotel the whole time. The mountains are freakin 5 min away from my house, we dont have a beach, but lot of places dont, we have more then most. MOST WONDERFUL WEATHER!!!!!!!!! And its home!
