Oprah Winfrey is going back on the campaign trail for Barack Obama!

According to the latest polls, the Democratic presidential hopeful is trailing Hillary Clinton in the delegate rich state of California. So Barack is bringing the Big O to Los Angeles on Sunday for a big event.

Oprah has no influence over my vote. I lost all respect for Oprah when she was instrumental in getting a talk show for that incompetent, no talent fraud known as Rachael Ray.

I could care less who she is endorsing I hate when celebrities endorse people im sorry but I really doubt they actually know what the hell they are talking about and actually turns me off a little about the whole thing

    903

It's Obama all the way, with or without Oprah, he is the best candidate.
Hillary is a fake who will not help this country get back on its feet.
    GO OBAMA!!

oprah has no influence over my vote.
    obama does.

    905

I laughed my ass off when certain authors felt that Oprah's Book Club cheapened their work.

Ever since then, I never, take anything she says seriously. If she endorses Obama, then I'm voting the other way.

  6. Europe says – reply to this

    906

I'm from Europe and I see that the american people will again vote for someone similar to George W. Bush. (Remember, half of the americans voted for him!!! Don't forget that!! Were his speeches that convincing too???) Please don't whine after Hillary Clinton is elected about your bad reputation in the world. She will bring again division, coldness, even war if she can do it and the people will allow it. The leaders are the mirror of the people. What you elect will be your fate. With Hillary it will simply continue like it has been until now. Perhapy some very slight changes in economics etc. but not a fundamental positive change. You will see it when she becomes president of the United States. She will make only small changes…hardly noticeable. Obama will be TRYING to make the BIG and REAL changes…(if he does not get killed on the way…seriously…)… the changes of the whole political and economical structure..that is his wish.

  7. Europe says – reply to this

    907

He wants a more transparent and honest system…Hillary will be pretending to do some small things there and some small changes here..but not more. Obama will change things FUNDAMENTALLY. See the difference? But if you people want the status quo vote for Hillary but don't be surprised if things won't change to the better. It's your responsibility. I feel very concerned about this because this presidential race is a very symbolic and important one. It's not like the races before. This time it's about an old system against a new one. And if the president of the US is one who stands for the new system, it will reverberate into the whole world. That's is why I hope so much that Obama with his intent to change politics in its roots will be elected. You will be grateful with him as your president, believe me. Even if he will struggle A LOT to transform the system, he has the will to do it. Hillary does not want to transform the system. She likes the political system as it is, she depends on it. So if you want a positive change, a basic change in your politics and economy for the better, Obama is the man for you. Please make this world a better and more honest place. This would help greatly.

    Re: Europe

i'm from europe too!! and actually the whole european newspapers and people are rooting for hillary clinton.. they don't see her as a manipulative and devisive at all!!! they actually see her as the most relevant candidate in the whole campaign!!!
and actually obama is just described as a joke: just words, a really positive rhethoric and empty words in politics ( vision, hope, etc..)……………..he is just a smooth talker and synmpathetic……….EXACTLY LIKE G.BUSH WAS……. remember 8 years ago it was a bushmania and now an obamania ….too irrelevant in politics!!!

i don' know where you from but french, spanish, german and british newspapers don't take him seriously they only talk about the fuss about him!!

because in you argumentation and the thing yuo point out….. you don't sound european at all to me…. we are in general not having this kind of irrational concerns?

didn't you get the information that 3 months ago he made an interview that shocjed all the european media: he didn't knew that pakistan borders iran!!
all the newspapers across Europe made big jokes about that!

  17. Europe says – reply to this

    917

In my experience with the european media here I see a general dislike against Hillary Clinton and a hope that Obama will win. But perhaps we are reading different newspapers! I read very little positive things about Hillary. And most of the time a cheering when Obama is in the lead. I guess it depends on the newspapers we read.

  18. Kathy says – reply to this

    918

Oprah doesn't want another woman in the world more powerful than she is.
That is why she is supporting Barak Osama.
If Hillary becomes President, then Oprah will be the 2nd most powerful
    woman in the world.

    HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT!
    HEALTHCARE FOR ALL!!!

  19. shizdoodlez says – reply to this

  20. Pam says – reply to this

  21. Habibti says – reply to this

    922

Obama wants to give illegals a drivers license. That's not right! I've been employed in an industry where 80-90% of the workers were illegal, they were good people making a living for their family, but to grant them a DL is wrong for many reasons. BTW ALOT of the workers already HAD DL, SS Card, and Green Cards….purchased on the street.
Giving DL is not an answer to ANY Illegal issue. He is way off base here. He is too green to be Pres. My vote will be with Hillary.
It took a Clinton to clean up after the first Bush, and hopefully another Clinton will be able to clean up this YoYo's (W's) mess!
And I already said earlier that no Oprah does not has any sway on my vote, she's a wonderful business person, but that's it.

  23. from europe says – reply to this

    923

to europe: you are not european i'm sure about that because in general the majority of european don't buy into hope, vision and all that hoopla: they want facts facts facts and detailed plans!!! imagine a guy like obama in europe would have something like 5 %…at best!

plus something that gave it to me is that you are talking about the change around the world while in europe the main change comes from the European Union, the dollars and US economy, don't impact anymore on ours greatly==> example the subprimes crisis: ten years ago it would have send us over the edge now, euronext tanked for few days and came back regular!!!

plus CLINTON is really admired in europe while obama is barely known!! so i don't know where you from but well you 're not for sur the mainstream european!

  24. bella says – reply to this

    924

    NO, I'm a Reoublican

  25. Europe says – reply to this

    925

This is my own personal opinion and my gut feeling. I am not influenced by what newspapers write, not even what the candidates promise…those are only words, it's the rhetoric supremacy which will win but it doesn't say anything what they will REALLY accomplish afterwards. I am not interested in those things. I look at those two people while they speak etc.. and I just KNOW what their intentions are. I know in my bones that Obama wants true change and Hillary not. That is my own personal honest opinion. I do not care what newspapers write. Anyway they are also often just copying each other.

  26. Marize says – reply to this

Obama is way cooler that Oprah. Imagine that, she'll have to ride on his coat-tails. Cool.

well i am an european lawyer…. so i read a lot i mean A LOT of press!!! or getting some translated by my assistants, but at least the main british, spanish, french, german, belgium newspapers!!!

that's why i asked you where did you get those informations because i never saw those opinions, i'm just curious …

*Obama's the REAL DEAL! YOU GET WHAT U VOTE FOR!

Pam, you mention Hillary putting up with a cheating husband, Wake up! I would venture a guess to say that close to 40% if not more married men cheat! You really need a wake up call!

  32. Tami says – reply to this

    932

Nope she is Oprah and she will not influence my decision on who I vote for. She has done a lot of good for people but that does not make her an expert on who should be President. I feel the only reason she is supporting him is because he is Black..

He does not have enough experience to run our country in my opinion. If he did he would not need her hep and star power to help him. He does not have relationships with foreign diplomats and in this day an age we need that more than anything because the current president has his head up his BUTT and I am from Texas but he Just needs to get the hell out…..We do need change but I dont feel Obama is the change we need right now.. I would like to see him get a little more involved get a track record and run again when he has alittle more experience… NOw with all this said does not mean Hillary is the right one either…Still undecided but Oprah does nothng for me.. I am an intelligent women and I can think for myself and do not need her help there…
    Have a Great weekend..

Re: Europe – Oh, come off your high horse! They are ALL politicians. None of them can be trusted. You said you watch how they look? What a doomkomph you are. And I don't think for one minute that Obama cares about change. All he cares about is your vote and he'll say anything to get it whether he can or cannot do it (just like every other politician). It's just a bunch of talk with nothing to back it up.

I'm republican and if Hillary is on the ticket, I'll be voting for her. At least she won't let people influence her decisions. She knows how to make her own and knows what to do. He will do what his 'advisors' tell him to do. Nothing but a puppet.

I respect Oprah but I do not like Obama leaning on others to try and sway voters. Ted Kennedy is out there like Obama's grandpappy and now he brought auntie Oprah. He should focus on specific issues. This is not a popularity contest. This country is in trouble and we need a plan. I am voting Hillary.

    945

    Re: Europe
I completely agree with you. I'm from Europe too although I'm now and an American citizen. Unlike the other poster from Europe, the folks I know back home totally rally behind Obama.

To answer, Perez' question, no Oprah won't affect my vote. Hillary and Barack Obama do. For me it's Barack all the way and yes, because I too think he could bring honesty into the White House. Although, the Bill Clinton years weren't so bad, no president should run for 3 terms and he's already said enough during the primaries. And Hillary took a huge pay off to retract her previously positive (IMO) health care initiatives. The 2nd biggest, behind a republican who went on to work for the insurance companies b/c that was where the money was for him. Also, does Hillary actually know what she wants to do?

    947

We all know why she is stumping for him. If she were stumping for a white person it would mean so much more to me as a woman.

Actually…either way she has absolutely NO influence on how I vote. Don't even tell me she watches FOX or the debates!

  48. from europe says – reply to this

    948

TO EUROPE: on another note in Europe with all the backstabbing, false promises, wars, crisis that we had troughout the last centuries, no one is inoff naĂ¯ve to think that someone who run an election is genuine and not a politician==> our experiences had show us that they are all politicians and that's why the regular european look with a heavy attention to the plans!!

that's why obama is not trusted here: no specific plans, just empty words!

in Europe we don't feel with our bones!!! because this kind of feeling got some countries to buy into hitler! into tito and i can go on …and on…

actually we pick up our leader differently do you actually know some people that voted for gordon brown or angela merkel because they felts it with their bones??? actually it's the other way i know some people that voted for merkel, they told me i don't like her but she has great plans and such big achievements i think she can do great for germany!!

that's why i tell you again you're not really the regular European: in general we take our vote really seriously based on reasonable choices, rationally based on the achievements, policies and proven experience and not at all emotionally……

and come on i really doubt that EL pais copy on newsamabend or le monde or the guardian………that sounds totally crazy!! they have different issues because edited in different countries….. then again from where are you?

  49. ebo says – reply to this

    949

Re: jay – Who cares if she voted for the war. Almost every single democrat in the senate did vote for it. It was almost treason if you didn't agree with the president at that time or is your memory that short?

Anyone who defied the president publicly (who was well known) was classified pretty much a traitor.

  55. Michelle says – reply to this

    955

He's a great guy, and will make a fantastic president someday soon…but first, give Hillary a chance to actually clean up the mess that the village idiot Bush has made.

Obama is exciting and offers change, but to what? He doesn't know the Washington-system all that well to KNOW yet what needs to be changed. And, his associations with know-homophobes (McClurkin and his Hyde Park pastor, for instance) don't bode too well for where he actually stands. Hillary, on the other hand, is ready - and we know full well where she stands!

With Obama as her VP, he'll be ready in eight years and not have to train on-the-job. Hillary in '08!!!! Clinton/Obama. That's the ticket!!!!

i was just giving my experience which is particular because i travel at least twice a week within the UE and i NEVER met a person that gives credit to obama. NOBODY. while in my job i meet a lot of people: that scandal about the borders ( he didn't knew that Pakistant borders Iran) took all credibility away from him.

i don't say that he is not seen as likeable because the jokes towards him are gentle, but he is not taken seriously AT ALL and for my job i meet a lot of people of the Union, of the UE parliament, and just regular folks accross Europe.

That is again what my "bones" were telling me. I trust my "bones", they have never failed me until now… I rather trust my "bones" than words and promises of politicians!! : )) And yes I am certainly not a mainstream european. Mainstream people do not listen to their "bones", right?? But I am entitled to my very own opinion, is it so?? Even if it's not taken from newspapers or coming from a politicians mouth (= facts)? What are "facts" anyway?? Are you 100% sure "facts" are always the truth?? Greetings from the non-mainstream European.

can't care less what the big ape does but she's turning a lot of people off including myself. i have no respect for obama. he's arrogant and thinks too highly of himself. i'm voting based on my own opinion unless big ape is paying me big bucks to vote for her toy boy.

This is just hilarious. Obama cannot bring the crowds by himself so he counts on mama to bring in the voters. People can think for themselves; I can't care less for what Oprah says. She's filthy rich and does not care for white people. She's racist and that's why she is putting her money on this race.

    women voters are smarter ..
They dont vote based on Oprah…
They vote for the issues that affect them. Who ever makes the most sense …not the one with the biggest movies stars. since when has an election been about following Oprah? Oprah does not rule the US.. give the women more credit than that. We may like her show but she does not decide for us what to do ..although some of her shows are a bit much in that area.

I would respect Obama more if he had Colin powell next to him instead of Oprah… Or some highly respectible person that is not hollywood. What does Oprah know about my needs all tucked away in her mansion?

What does Oprah know of our needs to salvage our paychecks to keep our homes from going into foreclosrue or watching loved ones struggle from day to day while she sleeps with a fat bank account?
What does she know about seeing your kids struggle through life trying to get work right out of college while she sits in her comfy limos?

Sorry Obama but you would be more convincing if you had some real people at your compaign instead of showing off the fact that Scarlett Johansen is your supporter or that you have George clooney rooting for you or that Oprah who is one of the richest woemen in america is practically paying for your road to the whitehouse…

I was sick and tired of how this compaign has made it seem that Obama is ahead in the race because of his blackness and how much they show those ridiculous polls of Black versus white voters…

I guess the other cultures dont count huh?

Now that Obama is going to California all of a sudden hes going to reach out to latino voters? too little too late.
