    503

No, although I think Oprah is great she does not influence me what so ever. I will vote for the best person for the job.

    504

A Hillary presidency will tear this country apart more than it already is. Plus the Clinton's are shady and untrustworthy. Hillary supporters are living in the past.

Seriously Perez why do you cover him so much him and Hilary are one in the same! Why dont you open your eyes and support Ron Raul. RON PAUL 2008.

  7. Ellie says – reply to this

    507

No, I could care less…but Obama already has my vote.

And for those saying he needs to stand alone, um, know someone who is campaigning on the coattails of her husband, and who has Barbara Streisand(LOL) as her celeb backer???

    508

HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT!! Make the right choice. Vote for Hillary.

  9. jen says VOTE HILLARY says – reply to this

    509

unfortunately, she does have a lot of sway over the middle age housewife set who are actually at home to watch her. and i think this is one election where that demographic is going to be out in force voting. however, i'd like to think we as a nation are at least intelligent enough to choose our own president without the "help" of celebrity endorsements. while she may have influence, she's not any more qualified to select a presidential candidate than the average woman in this country, and less qualified than many. i'm not an oprah fan (and i think it's sad the only reason she's backing him is because he's black, because if he was white, she'd be behind hillary saying "GIRL POWER!" hillary is obviously the stronger candidate), barack is ok but not ready to be president, HILLARY 08!!! now, since i've endorsed hillary, doesn't that make you want to run out and vote for her?!

How does Obama stand on ISRAEL??? That is more important to me than if he is male or female or what race he is.

  11. eric says – reply to this

Who gives two shits who oprah thinks should be president?? She a fucking TV host!!!

    Re: soldieriniraq

    Respectfully-
I don't know who you are speaking to or about. But, my husband is very much in support of Mr. Obama and no other. I haven't read anyone on here that is speaking for the "whole" military family. I know of all the people my husband works with, and that we have spoken with…None of them are voting for Hillary. Some for Mr. Obama, and some for Mr. Romney, or Mr. McCain.

  13. kj says – reply to this

    513

hell no, i'm not basinng my vote on what Oprah says. that's ridiculous.

  14. Em says – reply to this

    514

I don't trust Obama. And Oprah? What does she know again? Oh wait. Nothing. I really wouldn't trust her judgement after the South African school debacle. Someone doesn't do her research.

    I'm going with Hillary.

  15. Heather says – reply to this

    515

WHY SHOULD WOMEN BE INFLUENCED BY OPRAH WHEN SHE IS PICKING A MAN OVER A WOMAN B/C OF HIS RACE? OPRAH ALSO HAD A PLASTIC SURGEON ON HER SHOW WHO WAS NOT BOARD CERTIFIED AND ENDORSED AN AUTHOR WHO FICTIONALIZED A STORY AND THEN LIED TO THE PUBLIC, CALLING IT AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY. CLEARLY, SHE DOES NOT DO HER HOMEWORK.

  16. beastly says – reply to this

    516

THINK FOR YOURSELVES, DO RESEARCH AND COME TO YOUR OWN CONCLUSIONS, DON'T ALLOW CELEBRITIES TO INFLUENCE YOUR VOTE OR THE WAY YOU CONDUCT YOUR LIVES (They are NO BETTER THAN YOU OR ME) … As an aside, I do like her acting (Color Purple), just not her Holier Than Thou attitude…. AND I WANT A PRESIDENT with BALLS (not a celebrity endorsement). HIllary definitely has BALLS.

  17. THE TRUTH says – reply to this

    517

THE MAJORITY OF OPRAH'S VIEWER'S ARE MIDDLE AGED WHITE WOMAN AND ITS SAD SHE'S NOT ENDORSING A MIDDLE AGED WHITE WOMAN FOR THE PRESIDENT….OPRAH MAY LOOSE HER DEVOTED VIEWERS!!!!!

  18. Christine says – reply to this

    518

She has about as much influence over my vote for Obama as your blatant support for Hillary does ;) .

    Obama all the way.

  19. d says – reply to this

    519

I used to like/admire Oprah — but after her choice to come out and suddenly become political, I have lost alot of respect for her. I like Obama and I like Hillary, but I think its wrong of Oprah to interfere and influence peoples mind — let people make up their own mind!! This is not showbiz (how Oprah makes her living) — this is a serious matter that will influence millions of people around the world — we don't need Oprah for this?!!

  20. HILLARY08 says – reply to this

    520

HELL NO!!!!!!!!! Oprah has absolutely no control over my vote whatsoever. her choosing her race over her gender is bullshit~~~ GO HILLARY!!! Oprah just shut the hell up about politics and go back to your show!!!!!

  21. Narina says – reply to this

    521

You know, Oprah is such an idiont. Shes all about Women and womens rights and how girls should be more dependant and then she goes joins Obamas campaign so he can get the vote of women. Are you serious! Instead of supporting Hilary Clinton who is far better shes getting to women to vote for a male. I think she needs to get her shit together!

  22. jen says – reply to this

    522

Re: Angela – well, my husband is a soldier, too, and we are voting hillary, as are many of the soldiers we know, although there are some mccain, obama, and huckabee supporters, too, but most are voting for hillary…

  28. Angela says – reply to this

    528

These comments show just how NAIVE so many of you are. It shouldn't be based on race, gender, what celebrity is endorsing who, who your husband is, or any of that. I hope only those of you that have a brain will cast your vote.

It's not GIRL POWER, BLACK POWER, or anything else. GROW UP. I should have thought about this before I responded to a posting. This is Perez Hilton, of course you couldn't be making educated responses. You are letting a "celebrity" gossip column-INFLUENCE YOU, whether you know it or not.

    Re: Tammy Sue

Dumbass - like saying NOTHING about the Union Busting when she was on the board of Wal-Mart? That kind of work? Or was it the double and triple billing she was doing at her law firm? That kind of work? You are a moron.

She didn't read the NIE. Keep saying that to yourself. Her votes and her lousily lack of leadership caused our soldiers to die. She is part of the problem and so are you.

  30. erin says – reply to this

    530

Man I don't even need Oprah to want to vote for Obama.

    He's quite handsome.

  31. ZERO says – reply to this

    531

    NOPE, NOT THIS CHICK !.!.!.!.!.

  32. Erin says – reply to this

    532

and, to all of you saying he's dumb for having Oprah as an endorsement…

    look at HILLARY'S endorsement.

    Mr. Bill Clinton.

And she's been making HIM do all the work (think South Carolina?)

  33. trish says – reply to this

    533

She has as much impact on my vote as Bill's campaigning for Hillary has. Same impact as Chuck Norris is supposed to have on Hucakbee voters.

If a celebrity's presence brings more people out to listen to what the candidates have to say, then great. There's nothing wrong with that!

I don't think anybody expects us to vote for a candidate because a celebrity supports them. Stop trying to stunt the debate Perez. You know better.

  34. prchilly says – reply to this

    534

Anyone who says that they would not vote for B.O.because of Oprah Is as big a tool as someone who votes for him because of her… She brings more people out. It's PR and free press… Idiots…

  35. Midge says – reply to this

    535

    Re: suzanne

She voted for war for Iraq, Iran and didn't read the NIE. A vote for Hillary is a vote for stupidity. She is lazy and her votes got our soldiers killed. Nice morals and terrible leadership.

  36. Grace E. says – reply to this

    536

Re: Angela – Exactly. No one for Hillary in the camp either. Talk of Obama, Romney, and McCain only.

  37. Lee says – reply to this

    F her! I f you have a brain… VOTE HILLARY!

  38. DONT GIVE A SHIT WHAT SHE SAYS~~~~~~~~ says – reply to this

    538

who gives a shit who Oprah endorses!!! what a sad day when she decided to pick her race or her gender!!! and she dont know shit anyway. she needs to go back to being a talk show host and dealing with her own problems like the ones over in Africa. but no shes to busy campaigning rather than making sure those poor little girls over in Africa are protected. Get your priorties in order stupid ass! Go HILLARY~~~~

  39. Alyssa says – reply to this

    539

Actually it makes me less likely to vote for him…ever heard of another little gem of hers? Dr. Phil?

  40. Yvette says – reply to this

    540

Hell NO! Oprah has no influence on me.

  41. Emma says – reply to this

    541

Why would I vote the way some talk-show host tells me to? She can give us all the lip service she wants, but the only reason she is supporting him is because he is black and anyone who thinks otherwise is just as stupid as she is for thinking we are stupid enough not to see through what she's doing. On some days, Oprah is a credit to her race and on others, she is a complete and total embarassment with her racism against whites.

As for Obama, he's a wimp who avoids voting on every cabinet decision because he is so wishy-washy and indecisive…who would want THAT as a leader? I think the only hopeful out there is Hillary and I hope when she wins, she lives up to her hype.

  42. alex says – reply to this

    542

america shouldnt be voting for a "symbol" to be president, which is basically all obama is. hilary is the better politician. most people dont even know what obama stands for, only that he's black.

  43. prchilly says – reply to this

    543

Oprah went with B.O. To iowa and S.C and N.H. Look at the results…win (IA) tell in delegets (N.H.) And a cushing win for B.O. in S.C…. To the math…

  44. cynthia says – reply to this

    544

Why is it that obama "can't stand on his own two feet" if oprah campaigns with him, yet hillary hasn't taken a STEP without bill - who's campaign is this again?
i don't own a t.v., don't watch oprah , and am too busy anyway cuz all my time is spent VOLUNTEERING FOR BARACK!!!! the ONLY candidate that will be able to work with congress and get things done (cuz remember folks, 1. its IMPOSSIBLE to do shit in government if congress doesn't support you and 2. according to polls, obama is the ONLY ONE who, hands down, always wins when running against mccain. when it's clinton and mccain, the GOP always wins).
if you don't vote for obama, you're voting for the GOP. good luck!

Oprah is an egocentric, egotistical celebrity. So, she made some money and spread it around. So have a lot of other celebrities who dont need everyone else to know about it. Why doesnt she do something big, like come out of the closet?

Love, Oprah, but she has NO influence on my vote and I am actually quite disappointed that she is using her popularity and influence in the political arena. I think that is an abuse of her power.

  50. who cares what she says says – reply to this

    550

What a damn joke Oprah is only endorsing him cuz hes BLACK!!! and if you think otherwise your stupid. She decides to pick a black man or a white WOMAN!! everyone knows HILLARY has bigger BALLS than any man running for PRESIDENT!! who the hell would endorse a man that doesnt know how the hell to vote in the SENATE!! let alone what to do in a tough situation as PRESIDENT!!! im a democrat but if for some reason he gets the nomination im voting republican!!!! VOTE HILLARY!!! SHE CAN TAKE ON THE TASK!!!

  51. FUCK YOU says – reply to this

    551

AND YOU ARE WORKING FOR THE UGLY FUCK HILLARY CAMPAIGN. THAT QUESTION WAS GIVEN TO YOU TO POST FROM THE CUNT CAMPAIGN. HER TEAM ARE HERE POSTING. I'M NO FOOL YOU FUCK! I HOPE HILLARY WILL WIN THEN WHEN SHE'S FINISH USING YOU SHE WILL THROW YOU TO THE CURB. BILL AND HILLARY WILL CUT YOUR NECK OFF IF YOU GET IN THEIR WAY. FUCK YOU PEREZ! 55. Cristina says – reply to this

    555

Hillary all the way!!!! Oprah should have been supporting Hillary Clinton. The only reason Oprah supports Obama is because he is Black! Oprah had Hillary and her mother on her show a few years back and kept insisting Hillary run for President. What happened to that supprt? Oh it's because sen Obama decided to run and since he's black and she's a racist, she went with him!! Hillary will turn our nation around and help the middle and lower class, which is what we nee. Obama needs oprah because he's afraid of losing to a woman, which I pray he does!!!

  56. Jas says – reply to this

it will be sad ass day if he is picked for the nomination!!! goes to show how stupid some black people are!!! have no idea what the hell obama stands for only that hes black! and they want a black as president in their lifetime. if hes picked, i'll switch to republican!! fuck all the dumb shit!!! he aint got no balls!! all he does is change his mind!! get your shit together before you want to run for the hardest job in america dumbass!!!!!

  59. Midge says – reply to this

    559

    Two Words: Anne Coulter

Those are the kind of stupid women who would vote for Hillary Clinton who cannot justify her war votes and didn't bother to read the NIE's. Many polls have shown that women are for Hillary because of 1. Bill Clinton (eww) and 2. She's a woman.

    How fricken stupid is that?

You vote for the person who is right from day one which is Obama. Clinton refuses to admit she was wrong on Iraq and then votes again for war with the Kyl/Lieberman bill. Sounds like BushCo to me.

Maybe she is just for war profiteering.

  60. Eunicexxx says – reply to this

    560

Hell no He is a muslim in a suit. He dosn't honor our flag he was sworn into office for senator with the Koran. Oprah is just pro-black and that's okay good for her but she is betraying all women. Go Hillary!!!!She has my vote.

  62. charlotte says – reply to this

    562

absolutly not. oprah's as uneducated and pretentious as it gets. anyone who blindly folows what she says is every bit as pathetic as well.

as a canadian, seeing this from the outside, i have to wonder if ANYONE can name obama's policies without having to google seach them. his main stand is that he's a man of colour, which should not even be considered when voting for a possible president.

  63. Vinny says – reply to this

    563

It's so pathetic how this person who is running to be the PRESIDENT of the UNITED STATES has to bring in someone who he believes will influence voters. Shouldn't people want to vote for you because of what you stand for, not because of who you know.

  64. Tb says – reply to this

    564

Oprah has no influence on me on who I will vote for. I don't even watch her show. Not all women like her.

  65. jackie says – reply to this

    565

the big O has ABSOLUTELY NO influence over my vote. i think her effort should be rewarded but, if a celebrity influences you to vote for one person over another you should NOT be voting in the first place.

  66. Adrian says – reply to this

    566

Ummmm, Oprah, Perez, Tom, Brad, Whoever it may be will never have an influence over whom I choose to personally vote for. Kinda idiodic and personally for Oprah to think she is so "influential" to go political is arrogant and really just makes me annoyed with her all together. She has a damn talk show and has a school. Those things are great but just cause she has a crush on the black man, well pft, I could care less.

  67. joanne says – reply to this

    567

Oprah will drive me to go purposely in the opposite direction. Her track record isnt too good. She endorses authors that are liars, and shrinks that dont have licenses. I'm surprised anyone with a brain would even listen to her.

  68. Romey says – reply to this

  69. Kate Moennig Fan says – reply to this

    569

Hillary Clinton can argue herself out of a paper and plastic bag, Barack Obama cannot. As much as I like Obama, I think he is in need of an emotional education. He just may become the next president, so I shouldn't be so constructively critical just yet. Go Clinton! Go Obama!

  70. inteligente says – reply to this

    570

no, she doesn't but i don't need it–i am for obama anyway. hillary is definitely too much in the pockets of corporations for her to bring about any real change. i am woman but do not naively believe that she will represent me simply because of her gender. she is way too wealthy to understand or represent me. plus, i don't want over 20 years of the same two families in power. she seems so fake.

  71. me says – reply to this

    571

Mr. Obama needs to learn to run his campaign on his own! 1) Bashing the Clinton's 2) Relying on Oprah to get him votes. He is "playing dirty" and proving through these actions in his campaign that he cannot run this country.
    HILLARYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY ALL THE WAYYYYYYYYYYYY

  72. Layla says – reply to this

    572

NO WAY does Oprah influence my vote. I cannot believe that Americans are voting for that SHILL–Obama. HILLARY CLINTON FOR PRESIDENT!!!!! VOTE FOR A WOMAN WHO WILL CHANGE THE WORLD FOR THE BEST!!!!!

  73. me says – reply to this

    573

HELL NO!!!! Still Hilary all the way for me…surely women will be more behind a WOMAN who could potentially be the president of the USA, rather than let their votes be influenced by another woman telling them to vote 4 a MAN?!?!?!?!!?

  74. Suzanne says – reply to this

    574

If you are dumb enough to let Oprah influence your vote, than you are so fucking dumb that you shouldn't even be voting in the first place. Can't people think for themselves?

  75. justme says – reply to this

    575

    Re: Jessica

actually yes!! check your facts straight michelle OBAMA run a really agressive campaign too !!!! so both spouses are defending their way!!!!
    she's just dumber that's why nobody cares……….

  76. Good grief says – reply to this

    576

What's really scary is all the women who are voting for Hillary just because she's a woman. They could care less what she stands for or the fact that she turned the other cheek while her husband humiliated her for all the world to see. You think that's the kind of strong person we need running our government, someone who can even stand up for herself. She is a cold, calculating manipulator who only puts up with Bill for the political clout he brings. On the other hand, if she gets the nomination all the Republicans will turn out to vote in record numbers to crush her. The Dems are underestimating how much the conservatives truly hate her. So, go ahead girl, get that nomination and we'll see McCain in the White House making things right again.

  77. Stupid Obama says – reply to this

    577

Wow he can't even do it on his own. You don't see Hillary getting Ellen or Dr.Phil to help he get votes. See how he is, he would make a horrible President, he's not even independant.

  78. tikigod says – reply to this

    578

I'M STILL COMMITTED TO VOTING FOR HILLARY…if you go to youtube and see all the videos under the hillarydotcom channel, how awkward it must be for Oprah that TWO of her biggest mentors, MAYA ANGELOU and QUINCY JONES, BOTH are passionate and dedicated supporters of HILLARY!

  79. Jesster says – reply to this

    579

I like Oprah, and my 23 yr old biracial daughter LOVES her…but Oprah will have no impact on our votes whatsoever. There are two good candidates for the Democratic nomination, and one of them will take the White House. But the most important think that is happening now is the rebirth of hope, of the belief that WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE IN OUR COUNTRY. Not since Vietnam have the young people of this country stepped up and gotten involved, heart and soul. My generation is tired now, and we have waited so long for the next generations to believe, and to show that they give a damn. Now suddenly, they do and they are coming out in swarms. This is more important than who wins the election, although I do believe it will be Hillary. But the biggest gift is the gift of hope, and that BOTH candidates have provided us, at long last. GOD BLESS AMERICA!

  80. ARE YOUR EYES OPEN??? says – reply to this

    580

NO!!! People need to pay very close attention to this election! If Barack wins the primarys, the actual Presidential race will end up being Obama vs. McCain. If that Is the case, we will be stuck with the republicans for four more, very long years. People need to be smart about this one. I do not think the country is ready for a black president. It's an unfortunate fact! However, if Hillary wins the primarys, i think she stands a good chance of winning. I personally think Hillary has the chops to whip this country, economy, etc… back into shape. Go Hillary!

  81. Oprah needs to keep her mouth shut says – reply to this

    581

I think that Oprah is seriously misusing her powers. She (nor any celebrity) should use their "power" to endorse a particular candidiate. I think it Barrack wins sooo many people who vote for him will end up regretting it because they will not have been informed about him. They just blindly follow Oprah. She is doing it because he is black and it's terrible. One might think with all her POWER TO THE WOMEN she would vote Hillary but you now see what is most important to her. I hope in the future celebrities use their star power to attract attention to VOTING period and becoming educated on the issues.

  82. gracieloo says – reply to this

  87. TINY TEE says – reply to this

    587

I can see why Barack would think Oprah has an influence on his campaign, but I personally think a big part of the reason she's endorsing him is cause he's black.

  88. lisa says – reply to this

    588

the main reason I WILL NOT vote for him. She's EVIL

  89. MarleyRai Speaks says – reply to this

    589

First: Politics and Campaigns have always called for us to vote for the candidate whom we believe has similar views as us, and or who sees the world through the same lens as us. People who belong to the dominant culture in America have always been privileged in the fact that the people whom they voted for have always looked like them, therefore, race was never an issue. Race could be put aside and the "issues" could become of focus. To consider race, to this group (the dominant culture), would be absurd, ONLY because that is something they have been privileged to disregard. I believe Oprah is endorsing Obama because she believes in his "vision." And let's just say that, perhaps, because he and she see the world through the same lens. Their Blackness brings forth similar life experiences. Is she wrong for doing this? No. Americans have done the same thing for years- voting for candidates whom they believe share their same life experiences or can empathize with their life experience. Second: I'm disgusted that we do not understand race, privilege, and institutional racism. It should be a requirement to study these concepts before graduating from high school. Our ignorance will catch up to us in a very bad way. Third: I am an African American female who does not believe in any Tier 1 candidate. No true change will come about with Hillary or Obama. Systematic change is the only true change. None of our Tier 1 candidates will ever bring about such change.

Oprah is only with that damn black guy because they are the same color. Hillary has been working for 35 years to better people's lives. That black guy has only been in the Senate less than one term, and he wasn't even there to vote half the time and the other times he voted present….(No, no, black guy, let's not vote on anything or give our opinion on anything because it might come back to haunt us.) At least Hillary has GUTS to make decisions and stick to them. SHE IS THE SMARTEST, MOST CONFIDENT, AND MOST DEPENDABLE CANDIDATE AMERICA HAS HAD IN YEARS!!!! GO HILLARY, and when you win—-stuff it down the naysayser's throats!!!!

I used to like Oprah but there's something about having somebody else telling me what to do that pisses me the fuck off. I'm a grown ass woman and can make up my own mind. Oprah, you're on shit list now, beyotch.

    Re: ame

ABSOLUTELY NOT TRUE, if hillary last name was jones i would vote for her for the same reasons why i 'm voting for her now==> two term successful senator, very committed to healthcare ,to the economy issues, she shines internationally, she actually conceived some successful healthcare plan (for children).

she achieved a whole journey!!! and on her own!! so instead of clinton her name was jones , i would stand exactly where i'm standing now!!

Hell No! I am not one of Oprah's "sheep." Please!
Dr. Phil is not even a licensed doctor. he is so full of sh*t.
A Million Little Pieces was fake - not a real memoir
The person she put in charge of her school in Africa sexually abuse the children. - Oprah is human & she has made mistakes in judgement & she will make more mistakes. Again, people…she is human. trust your gut, your heart… Oprah looks up to and admires Maya Angelo & Maya is a Hillary supporter. At any rate… I'm voting for Hillary! No if ands ot buts about it!

A little history lesson: If you don't know the answer make your best
guess. Answer all the questions before looking at the answers.

    1) "We're going to take things away from you on behalf of the common
    good."
    2) "It's time for a new beginning, for an end to government of the
few, by the few, and for the few…and to replace it with shared responsibility for shared prosperity."
    3) "(We)…can't just let business as usual go on, and that means something has to be taken away from some people."
    4) "We have to build a political consensus and that requires people to give up a little bit of their own…in order to create this common ground."
    5) "I certainly think the free-market has failed."
    6) "I think it's time to send a clear message to what has become the most profitable sector in (the) entire economy that they are being watched.
