According to the latest polls, the Democratic presidential hopeful is trailing Hillary Clinton in the delegate rich state of California. So Barack is bringing the Big O to Los Angeles on Sunday for a big event.

Race and gender shouldn't matter to you, to anybody. Don't vote a woman just because you are a woman, and don't vote for a black man just because you are black. I'm a woman and I've dreamt of the day that a woman would be president, but I don't feel that HIllary is the right person for the job. That doesn't mean I'm against women. She isn't entitled to the position just because she's gotten this far.

Look at each candidate's issues and think about what you believe in. That is the only way to make a decision.

    702

of course not. Oprah has absolutely NO influence over my vote. In fact, I would vote AGAINST ANYONE she endorsed because I think she is not very bright. She's good at making money, but she is obsessed with herself. She has a lot of emotional problems.

Osama needs that fat, lice-ridden Nigge Oprah to help his pathetic poll!
What a load of shit. I wouldn't vote for that closet-Muslim fag and I hope that Sambo Oprah chokes to death on a chicken wing while stuffing her FAT-ASS!

    708

the problem is not Oprah, the problem is Bill. People want Bill in the house so bad they'll vote for his little sister if they could. Obama is the choice…remember, the Kennedy's are supporting him. If thats not saying enough then yall just hating. the man knows his stuff and Hillary will have to ask Bill too much. the republicans will smash Hillary because the midwest "good ole boys" rather vote for a black man then a woman! (and I'm black so i see the trend)

  9. Billy says – reply to this

    709

For those of you saying you would vote the opposite of whoever Oprah endorses: that is the worst decision making process I've ever heard of.

  10. More of the same meaning someone with experience says – reply to this

    710

Re: bush, clinton, bush, clinton – ummm, yeah sick of the people who don't know what they are talking about. More of the same? Do you want to fall into the trap that republicans fell into with Bush? Bush had no experience, and neither does Obama. people are so naive, there is a reason our presidents are older, because experience is key. Yeah you know the answer everyone gives to Obama having no experience with international politics, "He'll learn". Oh thats reassuring, just like Bush learned. Seriously its sick ow many people hate Hillary for stupid reasons. Most people know nothing about politics and its sad(newstations are not reliable ways to learn about politics, scholarly journals and books are, if I used a newpaper source for any of my papers I would FAIL no matter what else was in the paper), but they think they are informed. Someone please give me a list that can match Hillary's on what he has actually fought for(not just voted for), what he has stood in front of the Senate to support. Oh what? It can't match Hillary's, really? And Hillary is supposedly bad for our country?

  11. Sarah says – reply to this

    711

I'm still undecided. I like Oprah, but she doesn't influence my vote. It's funny that so many people are saying things like "eww omg oprah. she doesn't influence me. i can't believe he's using oprah for votes!! i'm gonna vote for clinton now!!!!!"

Uhh, obviously Oprah did influence your vote because now you're choosing to vote for Clinton simply because Oprah supports Obama.

    Kinda lame.

Obviously I'm not talking about all the people who have posted supporting Clinton, just a few of the lame people who are only supporting Clinton to go along with the majority of the comments here.

I really don't see how Oprah supporting Obama is any different from other celebs supporting Hilary or any other candidate.

And to people saying that black people will vote for Obama just because he's black….yeah, well, I'm sure there will be plenty of women voting for Hilary because she's a woman as well. I'm sure plenty of black women will vote for Hilary again, because she is a woman.

You can't talk shit about one candidate if you're not going to acknowledge the same issues with the other candidate. It's childish to see only one side.

  12. Catherine says – reply to this

    712

No, but neither does Bill Clinton. Hillary is NOT a good role model for young girls!! If she had run for senate and become elected without the help of her popular husband then I'd be impressed. All she's shown women around the world is that you have to stay with your looser, cheating husband (nothing to do with how good of a president he was) in order to further your political career. How is that being a strong and independent woman? Furthermore, she can never look Chelsea in the face and say to her, "Honey, he's not treating you well. You deserve better." How is that being a strong independent woman and setting good examples for women of all ages? IT'S NOT!!! Wake up people!! If you want a women in office get a good one. Not one who is or isn't running for office with her husbands help. How many real women in the world interview for a job with their husbands resume? Again, is this the best woman we can get out there? How many people are voting for Hillary because they like Bill? I don't want the wife of my GYN to deliver my baby because she has, '35 years experience.'

Lastly, if anyone has a chance of working with republicans to get things done in office it's Barack Obama. He is liked by everyone! Who wouldn't want to go down in the history books as the republican who worked with Obama to make great substantiative changes for this country?

  13. Leah says – reply to this

    713

No, I'm going to vote for Hillary Clinton and Barack bringing Oprah campaigning with him isn't going to cause me to sway my vote.
    VOTE FOR HILLARY!!!!!

  14. grace says – reply to this

    714

well perez, her opinions have more influence and gain more respect than yours do, so shut up.

  15. Catherine says – reply to this

    715

If anyone has a chance of working with republicans to get things done in office it's Barack Obama. He is liked by everyone! Who wouldn't want to go down in the history books as the republican who worked with Obama to make great substantiative changes for this country?

What republican will want to work with Hillary? None of them. They all hate her so much it will become priority number one to ruin her presidency. Right or wrong is it worth it just to get a woman in the oval office? They'd never let another woman in their again?

If Hillary wins the Democratic nomination the republican nominee (probably McCain) will win in a landslide because all of us looking for among other things an honest president will replace our Obama lawn signs for McCain and encourage everyone to vote against Hillary.

Finally, picture this. Day one on the White house for Hillary. She goes down to the oval office at 7:am just to find Bill has been there since 6:30 am. A skirt may or may not be fluttering under the desk. Either way, are we really going to know who's in charge? Dangerous, dangerous.

Just my two cents. Glad everyone is interested and voting at least.

btw…Perez you need to let people know about votechooser.com. I went there and it helps you get the gist of what the politicians are for and how we favor to them.

  17. Ok, that is dumb says – reply to this

    717

Re: perk – ok, YOU are the reason this country is so dumb. You don't vote for someone because you don't want Bill in the White House. This is exactly why it is thought that the American public cannot handle elections. Who cares if you're a grandma, you're a pretty dumb one at that.

    Re: heyyyyaahhh

Excuse me? You state that Hillary has less time in the senate than Obama? Ignorant. Do your homework, you do your candidate no favors with ridiculous statements such as that one. They are both great candidates, and this is a terrific debate (and in between all the snarkines, there is good and healthy debate going on, thank God!). But trying score your points based on the FACTS, please.

Re: BIG – SEE YOU ARE FALLING FOR THESE ENDORSEMENTS! Who cares is a Kennedy endorsed him, they are not the gods of politics. Thats even worse than falling for Oprah's endorsement. If Obama win's I will be pissed because I know most of the votes came from celebrity support and not his views. None of them evem say why they support him, they just "think he is the best candidate". Well thats great but what about the issues?

    730

Re: Catherine – Wow, everything you just said was absolutely retarded. Seriously, go back to school. A Republican would not work with Obama either. Where did you learn politics from, your own psychotic thoughts? You do realize that the presidency has always been a partnership(well with those with smart women). Eleanor Roosevelt actually ran the country when FDR had polio. Hillary did a lot of work while Bill was president. It is disgusting how you automatically think Bill would be doing all the work or even saying it would be dangerous. Yeah real dangerous to have someone who knows what they're doing in the white house. YOU KNOW NOThING ABOUT POLITICS! FYI- many if not all of the presidents had affairs, there's a history lesson for you dumbass, it is not a reason to keep someone out of office.

This is a dumb question. Of course Oprah has zero sway with the readers of this site, most of which are under thirty and, dare I say by the level of commentary here, under twelve.

She does have a lot of sway with women over fifty, and that is Hillary's base. She'd better look out.

    741

I think that is sneaky and sly of the man to bring Oprah on the campaign trail to win votes from women. They won't be voting on the issues, they will be voting for what Oprah says. In turn, they are voting for Oprah and not Obama. I don't care who someone votes for, but vote on the issues and not on who is endorsing the candidate.

  42. Sarah says – reply to this

    742

I dont see Hillary needing someone famous on her side to get votes- she is making headlines on her own. She is famous for what she believes and stands for, and no "celebrity" is able to make her shine more than the star she has already become- GO HILLARY!! :)

  43. Oprah -- butt out says – reply to this

    743

No. I think it cheapens the whole campaign. Oprah's endorsement — or anyone's for that matter — means nothing to me.

  44. This Country is STUPID! says – reply to this

    744

Re: Catherine – Oh dear god shut up you are so dumb! seriously, You act like her only experience is through Bill, it is not! I actually live in NY and she was NOT voted in because of Bill, she was voted in because of her hard work and her campaigning. Do not talk about things you do not know about. Bill had nothing to do with it, that actually made the odds against her, and the fact that she wasn't a native NYer. She won on her own, people who do not live in NY and did not experience her campaign should not talk about this since they have no clue what they are talking about, and the GYN example shows how ignorant and stupid you are. In order for it to work your GYN's wife would have to also be a GYN, in which with 35 experience I would trust them. She didn't leave her husband, but is that any of your business? Like me, she believes marriage is forever. It was not for political gain because NY wouldn't care if she had divorced him or not. We voted Divorcee's in, who cares. You are the epitome of the ignorant people who loved to find reasons having nothing to do with her political agenda to attack her. You are pathetic and uneducated. Hillary is educated, has a law degree, and has her own political experience, she is not just borrowing Bill's credentials.

    749

Re: Ash – It's NOT the exact same thing. Does Hillary actually take these people out with her on the campaign trail? No. and you can't compare America Ferrera to Oprah. These people support Hillary without her parading them around the stage, and at least these people give real reason's why they support her.

  50. Catherine says – reply to this

If you could read I said none of his cheating has anything to do with weather or not he was a good president. Can you, read? It only speaks to her touting herself as a strong, independent woman who accomplished everything on her own, which clearly she ISN'T or she wouldn't till be married to him. Then, I'd have more respect for her accomplishments. The only reason she was elected into the senate and is where she is today is because of HIS popularity.

Oprah needs to stick to her talk show and leave the Polititions to do what they do best - lie & cheat! Because Oprah is joining to Barack's hip - I will NOT vote for him. Oprah's agenda is to help get the first black man in to the WHITE house.

I have no respect for you Oprah…in the end you are just a talk show host who preyed on millions of stay at home moms to make you famous…and now you have shit on them. Its does not matter how much money or power you have, you are an loser in more ways than one.

Okay. Hilary would not even be where she is at without Bill and the fact that she was his wife during his presidency. Barrack actually worked hard in order to be where he is today. So don't even think that bringing Oprah is his plan to lure all the women because Hilary's done much worse things to lure stupid bitches in. She and bill are the definition of corrupt. People are so ignorant and uneducated.

If white women could get rid of their white guilt and not support her JUST BECAUSE she is black, then Oprah would have to go back and do the weather. She is so gullible and so poorly educated and so impressionable. She'd swallow anything. God, her audience looks like Stepford wives!

Re: Are you really paying attention?

Oh please…. If he is a politician, he's got an agenda and honesty doesn't play into it one little bit. He says what he thinks you want to hear.

If he is the nominee, you can be sure that whatever comes out of his mouth will be what other people told him to say and not his own words.

He would be the easiest person to manipulate in my opinion and we have got to get someone in there who stands for something and can make that something happen.

re: lara - you obviously do NOT have a brain. Moron. Do you even watch the debates? Probably not. You probably think Bill Clinton was a great president, huh? Well, you're the definition of an idiot.

I can't decide whether I'm voting for Obama or Clinton, but Oprah has absolutely no influence over my vote. Nothing against her, I enjoy watching her show once in a while, but being a wealthy talk show host makes her voice powerful, but that ability to make her voice heard isn't important to me.

Hillary has my vote for sure! Poor attempt to get Obama in. I'm all about having a woman as a president- FINALLY! After the men have fucked it up enough (cough) bush and cheney. About time you boys move aside and let an incredibly SMART woman change this country.

NO WAY would I vote for obama AT ALL…and definately NOT with Oprah's endorsement. Oprah is a reverse-bigot…-….OPRAH WOULD VOTE FOR A BIG PIECE OF FECES BECAUAE THE COLOR OF IT IS BROWN/BLACK!!!!! Gross, but true!! And, unfortunately, there are ALOT of African-Americans who are going to vote for Obama ONLY because he is Black. I cannot even put into words how pathetic and completely IGNORANT that is…to base who the leader of the free world is based on black people finally perhaps feeling vindicated. I am white and I am voting for the best PERSON (which BTW is Hillary), but if I honestly felt that Obama was the best candidate, I WOULD vote for him…but he is NOT EVEN CLOSE. PLEASE PEOPLE - ESPECIALLY MINORITY PEOPLE - DO NOT VOTE FOR HIM BASED ON HIS COLOR. YES, HE IS BLACK, BUT NO HE IS NOT THE BEST CANDIDATE. IF YOU DO VOTE FOR HIM BECAUSE YOU ARE BLACK AND YOU WANT A BLACK MAN IN OFFICE, THEN YOU ARE AN IGNORANT IDIOT WHO SHOULD HAVE YOUR VOTING PRIVLEDGES TAKEN AWAY FOREVER…GET EDUCATED.

    Re: Bridget

Well Bridget, I guess you can't think for yourself then, eh? You need to see Oprah backing him to vote for him. Too bad for you and for the American people who think in the same terms instead of voting based on issues that will help us in the long run.

Pretty words won't do a damned thing. Hillary will make things happen and fast! We need someone like her to get us out of the mess George Bush put us in. I'm sick of him weakening our country and breaking the backs of hard working people so the rich can get richer.

Not really. I respect everything she's done and she's worked really hard to get where she is, but just because a woman supports him doesn't mean I'm going to. I make my decisions based off the facts, not who backs up the candidates.

Re: Hate the Clintons – You aren't so great yourself. You obviously don't remember how good the economy was under Bill Clinton AFTER George Bush Sr ruined it and left us 14 trillion dollars in the red.

Looks like YOU are the definition of an idiot
